8:26 pm. FINAL STANDINGS

1. China 57.250
2. United States 54.700
3. Japan 54.100
4. Spain 47.900

8:22 pm. Kishi Rina JPN FX: I didn’t see her first pass but saw she had a big bounce and was OOB. Second pass also stumbled back OOB. Well, third pass was great! Stuck the 2.5 cold, really nice in the air as well. Deep double pike at the end, step to the side. 12.700

8:20 pm. Li Hongyan CHN HB: Tak full, Tak half to Kolman, killer! Cassina is good! German giants, double double layout, stuck. This was ELITEEEE. 14.800

8:17 pm. Zhang Qingying CHN BB: Switch leap mount to switch half to Korbut, roundoff layout gets a bit wobbly and she ultimately has to fall. Nooooo. Split ring jump to back handspring to split jump. Switch side to cross straddle jump to loop, nice. Lovely jumps. Double pike with a small step. 13.550

8:15 pm. Tsunogai Tomoharu JPN PB: Clean Makuts, turns around for a mostly clean half turn into a one-arm front pirouette, straddle front is good, Bhavsar is smooth, Tippelt also really nice, double front half, chest down and a hop forward. 14.400

8:14 pm. Claire Pease USA UB: Endo half to inbar full, Komova II to Tkachev, good! Pak, Chow half, toe half to double front half, maybe slightly underrotated in the twist but wow, that’s the best I’ve seen her do this in a WHILE! 13.850

8:11 pm. Joel Plata ESP FX: Piked double front, deep with a kind of skid. Double double, small hop. 2.5, punches out of it, means to do a layout but can only tuck, no momentum and he still sits it. Ughhhh. Well, Sppain was already so far back and not gonna medal but still a bummer. Full-in to finish. 11.350

8:08 pm. Alba Petisco ESP FX: Oh I’m seated for this. Ugh, hands down on her first pass though, devo for her! She’s actually had kind of a rough meet but it’s early in the year. Arabian double front, good landing. Hit the double tuck. Double pike, a little deep, hop back. 12.050

8:06 pm. Danila Leykin USA HB: Tak full, nice. Gaylord II, fab! Cassina goes too far over, though, and he’s unfortunately off. Back on for a Kolman, which he gets, Rybalko, a little late I think, Tak half, Quast, and double double layout, deep but stuck. 13.150

8:02 pm. Finals Rotation 1 Standings

1. China 28.900
2. United States 27.700
3. Japan 27.650
4. Spain 24.500

8:01 pm. Tian Zhuofan CHN UB: Ling Healy sequence to layout Jaeger, minor form in the air, Pak, toe-on to Maloney to Gienger, full-in dismount, small hop. Lovely! 14.450

7:59 pm. Hashimoto Daiki JPN HB: Tak full, lovely, Tak half, minor ankle form, right to the Kolman, excellent Cassina as well, a little low and sloppy on the Liukin but gets it around, layout Tkachev, Quast, double double layout, small bounce. 14.950

7:57 pm. Nakamura Haruka JPN BB: Layout stepout mount to bhs loso, fab connections! Triple wolf turn, side aerial to split and straddle jumps, bhs loso loso, leg up, big wobble, but fights. Front aerial to split ring jump after that I believe. Side somi, big break at the hips but somehow holds on. Switch leap, another really big break and fight. Idk how she hasn’t fallen tbh. Double pike, a little low, small hop. Great fight. 12.700

7:54 pm. Xie Chenyi CHN PB: Makuts a little slow but lovely form so far. Stumbled a little on a full pirouette, nice straddle front, Bhavsar also good, clean handstand before the Tippelt, which is pretty seamless, strong double front dismount! 14.450

7:52 pm. Marina Escudero ESP UB: Straddle Jaeger, toe-on to Pak, some leg separation there, Maloney to Gienger, nice height, clear hip to blind full, double pike dismount, little bounce on the landing. 12.250

7:50 pm. Asher Hong USA FX: Front double full to double front, great! Front full to piked double front, also a superb landing. Stumbled on the double full down the side. Held his scale for about 25 minutes. Double double landed fully OOB but was again solid. 14.100

7:47 pm. Hezly Rivera USA FX: Strong on both the full-twisting double layout and subsequent double layout. Front tuck through to double tuck, great landing. Nice work in the leap series. Good landing on the 2.5 at the end. 13.600

7:45 pm. Nicolau Mir ESP HB: Tak full, really late and crooked, Tak half, nice handstand I think, straddle Tkachev, Rybalko finished kinda horizontal, Quest was pretty crooked, oduble double layout, really deep landing, lunges and leaps forward out of it. 12.250

7:42 pm. Going into the final rotation in a sec!

Tsunogai Tomoharu JPN HB: Got the Kolman and Cassina! Layout Tkachev also good. Quast, then dismounts with a double double layout, a little deep, step back. 14.900

7:28 pm. Marina Escudero ESP BB: Hit everything at the beginning, I caught up from the front aerial, big break at the hips before the split jump to Korbut. Switch to sissone I think, bobbly there at the end. Double pike went a bit wild and off to the side but she got it around with some steps back. 12.600

Yul Moldauer USA PB: Aggressive swing at the start into all of his pirouettes. Arched over and walked his hands a bit on one, and then rushed through another, ended up, kinda falling off of one rail but good recovery to cast back up. Hit the dismount. 13.050

7:25 pm. Charleigh Bullock USA UB: Endo half to Komova II to Pak, so clean! Short handstand before inbar full to van Leeuwen, clean on that. Inbar half to straddle Jaeger. Small step on the full-in. 14.100

Nicolau Mir ESP FX: Front full to double front. Hit the second pass and then a 2.5 to front layout down the side. Super high clean and stuck double pike at the end! 13.950

7:24 pm. Kishi Rina JPN BB: Finished her double wolf turn with her working leg fully bent, lorddd. Leaps looked good from my view. Front aerial nice. Hit the double pike. 13.100

Xie Chenyi CHN HB: First rleease looked odd but got the Liukin and layout Tkachev, double double layout, stumbled it back and sat it. 13.350

7:13 pm. Mariangela Flores MEX BB: I saw basically none of this unfortunately! Beam and floor are impossible to simultaneously watch. 😦 12.200

Hashimoto Daiki JPN FX: Front full to piked double front, hop back. Full-twisting double layout, a bit short, chest down. 2.5 to front layout down the side, great. Double double, then finishes with a strong double pike. 13.950

7:10 pm. Alba Petisco ESP UB: Came off immediately, idk how honestly, like it looked like right after her mount? Back on for a Pak, Maloney to bail to toe-on to toe shoot, hit the dismount. 12.000

Asher Hong USA HB: Zou Li Min. Hard fall on the Cassina. Back on for a second try and a second hard fall. Remounts and gets the piked Kovacs, really short on a Tak full, Tak half, double double layout, a bit deep with a hop. 10.950

7:07 pm. Hezly Rivera USA BB: Got the wolf turn around. Bhs layout, good landing! Tiniest check. Front aerial to split ring jump to Korbut, maybe a little slow in her connections. Hitting leaps well. Strong double pike, small step back. 13.400

Joel Plata ESP PB: Crashed a pirouette on his chin it sounded like, ARGH that was icky. Recovered well, the rest was nice, double front half dismount. 12.100

7:04 pm. Nakamura Haruka JPN UB: Inbar full to piked Deltchev, ugh off on the Maloney. Hit the rest after remounting, full-in had a hop. 12.150

Isaac Nuñez MEX FX: Hit the first pass and then I didn’t lock back in until the arabian double front which was apparently the last pass. 13.050

7:02 pm. Ke Qinqin CHN BB: Ughhhh fell on the end of the front handspring front tuck series. QUEEN NO. Front aerial to gorgeous split ring jump to Korbut. Little bobble on the switch ring before the back handspring. Kinda missed her footing on a jump as well, maybe nerves playing in. Step back on the double tuck. 13.100

Sol Scott GBR HB: I mostly had my eyes on beam but saw him hit a nice Kolman! Rest was all hit I believe, full-twisting double layout dismount. 13.450

6:58 pm. Touch is underway for round two!

6:52 pm. Prelim Standings

1. China 54.500
2. Japan 52.050
3. United States 51.200
4. Spain 50.150
5. Mexico 50.150
6. Great Britain 50.050
7. Brazil 49.750
8. Philippines 45.250

This means Brazil and the Philippines have been eliminated! I didn’t think until now how much it must suck to fly all the way here to compete one single routine. OR NO ROUTINES in the case of the athletes who haven’t been used yet. I wanted to see Sophia Weisberg!!

6:48 pm. Ruby Stacey GBR UB: Big toe-on Tkachev to mixed grip to Ezhova, toe full to Maloney to Pak, good! Van Leeuwen, hit the double front with noticeable leg separation aka a good ole cowboy to celebrate being in Murica. Overall a great set! 13.200

Joel Plata ESP HB: Hard fall on the Cassina. Layout Tkachev was better, Quast, stuck the full-twisting double layout. Good recovery. 11.700

6:45 pm. Natalia Escalera MEX FX: Think she had a 1.5, it was through to a double pike, great landing! Good front layout through to back layout full. Stuck the double tuck COLD! Selling the choreo at the end. Truly fab routine. 12.700

Zhang Yangyu CHN PB: nice steady first handstand, Makuts was a little slow halfway through. Double back salto was very nice. Clean double pike dismount. 14.000

6:43 pm. Haylee Garcia PHI UB: Wasn’t typing for this but notably strong were her van Leeuwen (though it was a bit muscled to handstand after) and the double layout dismount! 11.700

Vitaliy Guimaraes BRA FX: Got the double front with a bouncy landing, then a double double, stuck that! Triple full down the side was a bit short. 2.5 to front layout, stuck. Really high double pike, bounce back. 13.300

6:41 pm. Nakamura Haruka JPN FX: Balked her first pass. Lorddd. Hit the double tuck in the second. Switch to tour jeté half. Hit the 1.5 to front full. Bounce back on the double full. 11.600

Danila Leykin USA PB: Soared onto the bars and right into his first pirouette, that on its own was simply gorg. Little hand adjustments between rails. Everything else looked good, solid on the dismount. 14.000

6:39 pm. Charleigh Bullock USA BB: Clean full turn. Nice on the bhs loso, minor bobble. Switch to split jump half. Good side aerial. Front aerial had a wobble into the jump, which also bobbled a bit. Then she’s off on the side somi sadly. 2.5 dismount, crossed legs in the air. 11.750

Tsunogai Tomoharu JPN FX: A bit off on the double front landing. Huge double layout, but landed with his chest really forward. Think he stuck the triple full down the side. 2.5 to punch front, ended up doing a tuck instead of a layout. Arabian double front half-out, a bit short with his chest down. 12.950

6:37 pm. Ana Luiza Lima BRA UB: Think she started with toe full to Maloney to Pak, van Leeuwen after that, minor form throughout, piked Jaeger was good, double layout with a small step. 12.450

Zachary Nunez PHI PB: Wasn’t typing but this was a hit routine! 12.550

6:34 pm. Zhang Qingying CHN UB: Pak, Maloney to Tkachev, nice on both! toe full to full-in, some form. 13.850

Rodrigo Gomez MEX FX: Excellent piked double front! Ooh, idk WHAT he was doing in his second pass, it was like a side salto for the first flip and the second flip was like a 3/4 something? At first I thought it was a split leg double layout but no, not that. Truly could not tell you! 2.5 to front layout went a little awry and then the rotation on the arabian double front half-out got weird in the half turn at the end, sat it. 11.900

6:32 pm. Marina Escudero ESP FX: Nice double layout! Some leg sep in the air but gets it around and lands it well. 2.5 to front layout with some leg form throughout. Bounce back on the double pike. Switch to switch half. Great double tuck to finish. Her power is CRAZY, her sets are so high!! 13.000

Sol Scott GBR PB: This was a quick routine, I wasn’t typing but he hit everything! 13.050

6:28 pm. Prelims Rotation 1 Standings

1. Japan 27.500
2. China 26.650

5. United States 25.450
6. Brazil 24.000
7. Great Britain 23.800
8. Philippines 21.000

6:25 pm. Emily Roper GBR FX: Good double pike to start. Front layout through to double tuck, maybe a bit slow out of the stepout but gets the double tuck around no problem. Some foot form in her leaps. 2.5, legs were a bit wild/bent and she couldn’t get it around, sits it. 11.350

Nicolau Mir ESP PB: Gets through some tricky rail transitions early on then has a really big straddle salto. Tippelt, half turn, hit the double pike dismount. 13.800

6:23 pm. Paulina Guerra MEX UB: Toe full, legs apart, got the van Leeuwen with minor form, wasn’t typing after that but remember a Pak and Maloney to Gienger. Step back on the double tuck dismount. 12.200

Li Hongyan CHN FX: Stepped OOB on the front double pike but got the next pass well. Nice on the 2.5 to barani. High and clean double pike to finish. Mostly nice! 14.000

6:20 pm. Llya Escoses PHI BB: Nice punch front mount! Hit a back handspring. Big wobble on the side aerial. Later came off on a cross jump. Front full dismount with a step. 9.150

Diogo Soares BRA PB: First half of this was great, lots of controlled pirouette work, moved his hands on one in terms of significant issues, everything else mostly good though! Double front half out, leg form in the air and a bit deep on the landing. 13.000

6:18 pm. Kishi Rina JPN UB: Maloney to stalder full to Pak, nice. Caught the van Leeuwen, stalder to blind change to big straddle Jaeger, good. Hit the full-in dismount. Good routine! 13.300

Yul Moldauer USA FX: Double front, deep, hop back. Hit the second pass and then I think randi down the side, I missed the entry. Solid 2.5 to front layout. Arabian double front half, forward on the landing, then slips and puts his hands down. 12.450

6:15 pm. Claire Pease USA FX: Double double, some leg form near the landing but she gets it with a step. Step on the double pike as well. Think she had a 1.5 to rudi for her third pass, got it around nicely.

Hashimoto Daiki JPN PB: Had some trouble on an early pirouette, but got out of it, Makuts went okay, Bhavsar good, everything else solid! Hit the dismount without issue. 14.200

6:13 pm. Gabriela Boucas BRA BB: I wasn’t watching until the bhs loso loso, which was a nice hit! Off on the front aerial. Double full, legs go a bit wild but she lands it. 11.000

Evan Aliwalas PHI FX: First couple of passes were REALLY bouncy, double layout majorly back and double front majorly forward. I think I missed his first pass. Double pike at the end had some form in the air but a great landing. 11.850

6:11 pm. Ke Qinqin CHN FX: Lovely triple full to start. Think she had a double after that. Gorgeous switch ring to switch ring half. Double tuck with a step back. Excellent switch half. Senior debut in the books! 12.950

Isaac Nuñez MEX PB: Wasn’t typing for this but it went well! Hit. 13.350

6:08 pm. Alba Petisco ESP BB: Wobble on the layout stepout mount but good save. Switch to switch half. Wolf turn got a lil iffy but she saved it. Bhs bhs loso, off sadly. Wobbly on an aerial as well. Hit the double pike dismount with a step. 11.650

Sam Mostowfi GBR FX: Full-twisting double to open, then sat the double front. Think he did a 2.5 to front full down the side. Randi after that with a hop. A bit short on the double pike at the end. 12.450

  1. OMG is the music as loud for yall as it is with me? During the beam routines, the music was blaring loud, I have never scene competition where the music has been that loud while people are performing. Crazy
