FLOOR EXERCISE FINAL

7:01 am. Martina Bozzola ITA FX: Lovely switch half into the corner before the first pass, a front layout through to 2.5, crossed legs throughout but landed pretty well. Stunning Memmel into a full turn. Split jump full. Clean and stuck double tuck! Landing is a little deep but not bad. Wolf turn fakeout before the beautiful triple wolf turn, obsessed. Switch through to tour jeté half. Noooo, double pike ends up really short, puts her hands down. UGH. Bummer of an ending. 11.766 (5.1, 6.666)

6:58 am. Lucia Piliarova SVK FX: Double tuck, minor knee separation, strong landing. Double full, good form in the air, big step back OOB. Memmel turn was a bit rushed. Switch ring through to switch half, back foot on the ring could be better. Front layout full, little shuffle forward. Split jump full. Good work! 11.966 (4.5, 7.566, -0.1 ND)

6:54 am. Polina Dmitrieva RUS FX: Full-in, form is pretty nice, a little low/deep on the landing with a small hop but not bad! Switch full. Front full through to double tuck, clean, but chest down again and has a little wild bounce on the landing. Stuck the double pike! Switch ring through to switch half, kind of an awkward landing with her feet staggered. Nice hit overall! 13.233 (5.2, 8.033)

Moves her into first place!

6:50 am. Clarissa Rinaldi ITA FX: Her fourth final in three hours! Popa to start. Full-in, some leg form in the air, hop forward. 2.5 with crossed legs into a solid punch front tuck, tiny hop. Leaps looked good in her series, and then I think had a 2.5 wolf turn, and a switch half. Clean double pike, hop back. 12.633 (4.9, 7.733)

6:48 am. Touch at the halfway point!

6:45 am. Aleksandra Andrianova RUS FX: Whip to triple full, crossed legs in the air and a couple of steps back. Switch ring through to tour jeté half, some foot form in the latter. Memmel, little stumble out of it. Double pike, mostly clean in the air, good landing but chest is down. I think had a switch leap after that, then a triple wolf turn. 2.5 with crossed legs, goes crooked into a front pike out of it. Could tighten up her form in the air but a solid set! 12.966 (5.2, 7.766)

6:41 am. Elisabetta Cardelli GBR FX: Double pike, good form in the air, lands a bit forward with a hop back. Switch ring through to tour jeté half, minor form. A bit wild in what I think was supposed to be a double wolf turn, hits the Popa with minor form. 1.5 to front full, some leg form, hop forward. 2.5 with crossed legs, big step forward. 11.866 (4.8, 7.166, -0.1)

6:38 am. Luna Zimmermann GER FX: Whip full through to 2.5, really deep landing with a big stumble back, amazing she kept it on her feet! Switch leap through to tour jeté half into the corner before the front tuck through to double full, not bad! Triple wolf turn is solid. Switch half is clean. Clean double tuck, tiniest bit short but not bad. 11.700 (4.8, 6.900)

6:35 am. Lilou Marliac FRA FX: Gets the double wolf turn around, slow but fine! Tucked full-in, leg form could be cleaner but the landing was pretty solid. Front layout through to double tuck, leg form again, and she bounces forward on the landing, hands down. Switch leap through to tour jeté half. Clean double pike, hop back. Switch half. 11.133 (4.4, 6.733)

6:34 am. Touch warmups should be wrapping up in a sec!

6:30 am. Oop, we’re moving faster this time! Athletes are being introduced for floor now.

6:23 am. Medal ceremony is now underway! I’d say based on the timing for previous finals we have about 20 minutes until floor?

UNEVEN BARS FINAL

5:14 am. Helena Finc GBR UB: Muscles the first handstand before inbar half to piked Jaeger, clean. Inbar with a slight arch in handstand, connects to Pak, Maloney to Gienger, really clean but too low and she can’t catch, hard fall that seems to knock the wind out of her but she’s okay, just needs a sec. Toe full arches over a bit, corrects, comes off low for the full-in but gets it around with a small hop. 12.300 (5.3, 7.000)

5:12 am. Alena Zhykharava BLR UB: Stalder half to piked Jaeger, nice! Minor Pak form, stalder to van Leeuwen, pretty clean, toe-on to toe full, the tiniest bit late, to full-in, minor form and a small hop. Very nice! 13.100 (5.1, 8.000)

5:09 am. Giada di Pietro ITA UB: Inbar full, arches over too far for her to save, fall. Back on for the Komova II to Pak, Chow to stalder half, not even halfway to handstand there, inbar half to big straddle Jaeger, blind change about 45 degrees shy of handstand, toe full finishes a little late, to full-in, really deep landing with a hop. 12.233 (5.6, 6.633)

Lilou Marliac FRA UB: Stalder full, finished really late, stalder to Chow half, big leg separation, short handstand before the blind change to a nice straddle Jaeger, short handstand before the clean Pak, short handstand before the toe-on to van Leeuwen, that was clean! Also short before the giants, leg form in the full-in dismount was good! Tiny bounce. She’s mostly clean in her skills but those handstands are gonna KILL her. 12.833 (5.1, 7.733)

5:03 am. Touch warmups for the second half underway!

5:00 am. 4:56 am. Aleksandra Andrianova RUS UB: Inbar to Komova II to clean Pak, good handstand before tehe van Leeuwen, timing is off and leg form is weak, inbar half to straddle Jaeger, clean! Half turn came up short, toe full was good, to full-out with a small hop. 13.666 (5.7, 7.966)

4:53 am. Polina Dmitrieva RUS UB: Inbar full to Komova II to clean Pak, nice series! Chow half with legs glued. Inbar half to straddle Jaeger, caught a little close, muscles the cast after, arches over the next handstand ever so slightly, into the toe full, which is slightly rushed but not bad, still easily connects to the full-out dismount, the most minor leg separation in the tuck, baby hop on the landing. 13.900 (6.0, 7.900)

VAULT FINAL

4:25 am. Clarissa Rinaldi ITA VT: Super strong Yurchenko full! Think it may have been one of the bigger ones in this final, legs glued in the air, minor pike at times, small hop back. 13.233 (4.2, 9.033)

Yurchenko layout, clean in the air, nearly sticks it, just takes a baby step back. 12.700 (3.6, 9.100)

12.966 average.

4:22 am. Alina Yarina RUS VT: Yurchenko full, knees are a bit soft throughout, and some pike as well, decent power, big step back. 13.066 (4.2, 8.866)

Next up is a strong handspring front pike half, gorgeous! Big step back but her power is so nice and she has a decent body position on the landing, chest just slightly forward. 12.833 (4.0, 8.833)

12.949 average.

4:19 am. Aryna Malochka BLR VT: Yurchenko full, some leg separation in preflight, noticeable pike throughout, small hop back. 12.933 (4.2, 8.733)

Handspring front pike, aww, sits it and she’s super sad, in tears as she walks off the podium. Looked nice in the air! Just lands with a deep squat and can’t stand it up. 11.433 (3.8, 7.633)

12.183 average.

4:16 am. Lilou Marliac FRA VT: Clean Tsuk full! The tiniest pike throughout but her legs are sooooo nice. Almost flares the landing a bit. 13.400 (4.4, 9.000)

Second vault is a handspring front pike half, really nice in the air again, big hop back/sideways, chest also a bit forward on the landing. 12.866 (4.0, 8.866)

13.133 average, puts her in third place.

4:12 am. Touch for the second half!

4:08 am. Aniela Tudor ROU VT: Tsuk full, leg separation in preflight, minor knee form, slight pike before the landing, step back. 13.200 (4.4, 8.800)

Second vault is the Tsuk 1.5, knee form is noticeably weaker in this one, but LOTS of power! Step back to control it but she should easily take the lead with this. 13.566 (4.8, 8.766)

13.383 for the lead!

4:05 am. Jenitha Johnson GBR VT: Yurchenko full is pretty clean, has a medium hop back. Legs are glued, slight pike down just as she comes in for the landing, lots of power. 13.033 (4.2, 8.833)

Nauuuur, sits the Yurchenko 1.5! What a shame, it looked so good in quals.11.933 (4.6, 7.633, -0.3 ND)

12.483 average.

13.166 average.

3:58 am. Luna Zimmermann GER VT: Really clean Yurchenko full! Barely an issue with it, lovely in the air and a super solid landing. 13.333 (4.2, 9.133)

Also hits a Yurchenko layout with a hop back. 12.700 (3.6, 9.100)

13.016 average.
