Welcome to the live blog for the apparatus finals at the 2026 Mediterranean Games, held in Taranto, Italy.
Please refresh your browser every few minutes to see the most recent updates, which will appear at the top of the page.
12:27 pm. I believe the last final in this first batch of finals will be rings at 1 pm so in about 30 minutes. See you then!
The second set of finals begins at 6 pm local time – I might be on a plane? Or just about to land? I’ll probably retroactively live blog that session once I’m settled in my hotel before I go to sleep lol.

UNEVEN BARS & POMMEL HORSE FINALS
12:22 pm. Alba Petisco ESP UB: Muscles out of the hip change but gets the straddle Jaeger, nice Church to Pak, Maloney to bail to toe-on to toe shoot, clean blind full to full-in, a little low in her chest but just a small hop otherwise. 13.550
12:20 pm. Antonios Tantalidis GRE PH: Had a moment after the scissor to handstand where he had to make a slight adjustment in the handstand position but moves back down well to circles, travels in Russians and circles, and goes smoothly into the dismount. 13.650
12:18 pm. Sofia Tonelli ITA UB: Nice toe full to Maloney to Tkachev, clean Downie to Pak with leg separation, good van Leeuwen, toe half to front giant to clean double front, small hop. 14.100
12:16 pm. Matvei Petrov ALB PH: Scissors to single pommel handstand, down to circles smoothly, Russians on the single pommel, circles well an transitions easily into flairs, but he goes a little low and hits his hips before coming off. Back on and repeats his flairs sequence, lovely this time, great extension, slight adjustments into the dismount but overall so nice, shame about that fall. 12.750
12:14 pm. Aitana Pacheco ESP UB: Clear hip to Maloney to Pak, some leg separation, toe shoot, toe-on with a slight arch, toe half with some leg separation but gets the straddle Jaeger, blind change with little adjustments, blind full with the same, double layout, minor form and a small hop. 12.250
12:12 pm. Mateo Zugec CRO PH: Scissors to circles, gets super floppy on the single pommel work, massive leg form breaks and rhythm destructions, he ends up calming down and pulling things together briefly but ultimately continues to struggle and has to come off. Russians between the pommels, travels in Russians with mostly good form, circles up and down the horse, mostly smooth in the dismount sequence, just a slight adjustment as he’s about to come off. 12.150
12:11 pm. Lucija Hribar SLO UB: Toe half to straddle jaeger, nice. Big Ray to clean Pak. Maloney to bail to toe shoot, blind full, and a full-in dismount, clean at the start but she cowboys the second flip significantly. 13.400
12:09 pm. Ferhat Arican TUR PH: Scissors to circles, Sohn and then Russians on the single pommel, moves to the other pommel for some circles, hips are pretty closed now and feet are a bit flexed, goes into the Busnari with minor hesitations and form, looking a little floppy as he gets closer to the end but stays in rhythm and hits the dismount. 13.750
12:05 pm. Touch for the second half!
12:03 pm. Kaylia Nemour ALG UB: Inbar layout Tkachev in mixed grip to Ehova to Maloney to stalder full, slight sway in her back before the Downie but gets it easily to the Pak to Chow half, brilliant. Full-twisting double layout, step back. 15.500
12:02 pm. Omar Elshobki EGY PH: Looked like he got a little stuck after the scissor to handstand, but pauses and comes down well into circles, does Russians between the pommels, loses some leg form while traveling in circles, moves to travel in Russians and has slight leg form breaks, good up into the dismount. 13.950!
12:00 pm. Alizée Letrange-Mouakit FRA UB: Toe full was a little rushed, to Tkachev, clean Pak, arches over the handstand before the van Leeuwen, some awkward shapes there, then arches over in the pirouette on the high bar, she had a similar problem yesterday in the all-around final but on the first pirouette. Back on for the toe-on, blind change to front giant to double front half, clean at first but loses form in the twist and is a bit short with a stumble forward on the landing. 12.150
11:58 am. Kevin Buckley SLO PH: Scissors to circles on both pommels, moves to the single, Russians on the single, then transitions down to circle across the horse, looser form as he travels, and then he can’t make it to the dismount, just pushes up slightly before hopping off. Back on to repeat the circle sequence into the dismount and gets it this time. 12.350
11:56 am. Célia Serber FRA UB: Toe half to piked Jaeger, nice. Pak was mostly clean, good handstand before the Maloney to Gienger, good blind full, and a double layout dismount with minor form and a small hop. 13.350
11:55 am. Ignacio Yockers ESP PH: Had some tentative work getting through the Busnari but everything else went pretty well, basically no leg form breaks at all and his hips stay pretty open. Fantastic! 14.250
11:54 am. Artemisia Iorfino ITA UB: Lovely toe full to Maloney to stalder half to Endo half to Ricna, very clean throughout! Pak with leg separation, super nice van Leeuwen, stalder, and half-in double front dismount, beautiful work again! 13.800
11:52 am. Mohamed Afify EGY PH: Scissors to handstand, down to circles, moves well on the single pommel, travels in Russians with only teeny tiny ankle form breaks, travels in circles, a bit short in the handstand going into the dismount and never really quite reaches the position but overall this was really nice! 13.550
11:48 am. Touch warmups are now underway for the finals!
