SATURDAY JANUARY 23

6:52 pm. OOH, they took away from Utah’s score! Decided Lewis had a fall, whereas before they said her knee didn’t touch. Her score is down to an 8.925 from a 9.625, and they have to count Stover’s 9.1. Utah finishes with 196.125. Ouch. From the 6th best score in the nation so far this weekend to the 10th.

6:45 pm. Utah takes this one, 196.65 to Oregon State’s 195.075.

6:43 pm. Lewis, Utah, FX- Double pike, was apparently going to go for a full-in. Stepped out-of-bounds. Front layout front full with a hop. One of her jumps was def 90 degrees. Way short on her double tuck, knee comes down and she steps forward. 9.625

6:40 pm. Gardiner, OSU, BB- Full wolf turn is clean, great jumps, solid front aerial, big check on bhs loso, almost puts her hands down. Side somi, gainer full with a step. 9.875

6:36 pm. Lee, Utah, FX- Long wait for Stover’s score. Oh, I LOVE her floor. Music is AWOLNATION’s “Sail” and her story behind it is super interesting and the choreo’s great. Triple full is slightly under-rotated. Front full combo pass. Stumbles out of double pike, out-of-bounds. 9.625

6:34 pm. McMillan, OSU, BB- Front toss to bhs, great. Full turn, one-armed front handspring down to the beam, LOVE. Switch to straddle 1/4. Stuck gainer full. 9.85

6:32 pm. Stover, Utah, FX- Her floor debut! Front double full with a stumble out of it. Love her music. Front lay to front full is WAY short, you can see it on the front lay and she sits the full. Hits the Rudi. 9.1

6:30 pm. Perez, OSU, BB- “Bad Blood” is her music and she’s fully dancing to it. Front aerial with a big wobble. Solid bhs loso, though. Great full turn. Her arm wave and a wink…adorable. Split leap to beat jump to sheep jump. Great flexibility. Nails gainer full. 9.7

6:28 pm. Partyka, Utah, FX- 1.5 to Rudi, excellent! Nails double tuck. Love her drumline music with a little Spanish flare. Finishes with a great Rudi. 9.875

6:26 pm. S. Colussi-Pelaez, OSU, BB- Split jum to ring jump. Bhs loso and I think was gonna go into a third element but missed her feet and had to jump off. Full turn. Stuck layout full dismount. OSU will count a fall on beam. 9.225

6:24 pm. Schwab, Utah, FX- Double pike, great start. Lovely 1.5 to front layout. Nails her final pass, a 2.5. Gorgeous work. UCLA should be bummed they lost her. 9.925

6:22 pm. Ricci, OSU, BB- Front aerial to bhs, switch to ring leap, big wobble, but holds on. Hit dismount. 9.5

6:19 pm. Hughes, Utah, FX- Double pike. 1.5 to front layout. Double tuck is stuck! 9.9

6:17 pm. Jimenez, OSU, BB- Cool mount, backwards from the springboard. But not a Dick mount. Front toss, off on bhs loso, full turn, straddle 3/4 with her chest down, switch to split 1/4, gainer pike with a hop. 9.2

6:10 pm. Utah again extends the lead, now 147.7 to Oregon State’s 147.125 going into the final rotation.

6:09 pm. I love you Sam Peszek but there’s only so many times you can say “she’s learning the ropes” about freshmen.

6:07 pm. Jacobsen, OSU, FX- Punch Rudi skidded back, can’t connect into loso. Nails double pike. 1.5 and sits the front layout out of it. 8.9

6:05 pm. Stover, Utah, BB- Front aerial. Bhs loso, big check. Really love her hair. Switch leap to straddle jump. Sissone, front toss into a jump, but I missed the jump. Stuck gainer full. 9.925

6:02 pm. Gardiner, OSU, FX- 2.5, little stumble out to correct for her awkward rotation. 1.5 to front layout half to straddle jump. Love her crazy Russian-esque music. Double pike, solid finish. 9.875

6:01 pm. Lee, Utah, BB- Love her mount. Her music is Taylor Swift’s “Clean” hahaha. Bhs loso, lovely. Switch to quick straddle 1/4. Beat jump to side aerial, big wobble. I hate blackout meets because with everyone in black, the arena looks empty, hahaha. Double full with a hop. 9.825

5:58 pm. Radermacher, OSU, FX- Excellent front double full to front tuck. See, Caquatto? That’s how it’s done. Beautiful big 2.5. Front full to front tuck. Excellent job! 9.85

5:56 pm. Rowe, Utah, BB- Solid bhs bhs loso. Excellent routine, nails 1.5 dismount. 9.9

5:54 pm. Perez, OSU, FX- Low double pike but she is short so it’s okay! Landing is fine. Popa to wolf full I think. Big smiles. Front full to front half to Shushunova. 1.5 to front layout, great! 9.85

5:51 pm. Merrell, Utah, BB- Front aerial, little stumble on switch before the split jump. Lovely bhs loso. Full turn. Front toss, big stumble and wobble but she holds onto it. Clean double full, little bounce in place. 9.575

5:49 pm. Singley, OSU, FX- Front tuck through to double tuck, a little short and her chest is down. Double pike is super low, knees definitely buckled but she stood up out of it. Switch ring to switch half. Rudi is short. 9.725

5:47 pm. Delaney, Utah, BB- Solid bhs loso. Beat jump to tuck jump full is a little short. Side aerial to awesome gainer full. Maybe a slight shuffle. 9.825

5:46 pm. Ricci, OSU, FX- Rudi loso, janky loso though. Legs are a mess. Solid double tuck. 1.5 to front layout with a step. 9.75

5:45 pm. Megan Marsden just said “that was one of the best lead-offs I’ve ever seen.” THE TEARS.

5:43 pm. Partyka, Utah, BB- Omg her, end of the beam skill on her back…YAS. Split jump to straddle 1/4. Cat leap to side aerial, solid. Full turn. Bhs loso, a tiny check but she corrects it well. Switch to split leap. Nails 1.5 dismount, cheats the stick into her salute. 9.8

5:39 pm. Utah opens their lead a little bit more, now at 98.425 to Oregon State’s 98.075.

5:36 pm. Lewis, Utah, UB- Giant full to HUGE Tkachev, I think she tapped her feet, though. Double layout, slight step back. 9.7

5:35 pm. Jimenez, OSU, VT- FTY, hop back. Just big leg separation on her pre-flight. 9.8

5:34 pm. Rowe, Utah, UB- Great first handstand, giant full to nice Tkachev, another great handstand before a solid bail, last handstand is perfect, and a gorgeous stuck double layout. I seriously wouldn’t be opposed to a 10 even if it probably isn’t. 9.95!

5:33 pm. Gardiner, OSU, VT- Huge clean stuck FTY. Gorgeous! Oh, looks like a tiny little shuffle back. 9.85

5:32 pm. Hughes, Utah, UB- Giant full to Tkachev, whacks her foot on the bar but keeps swinging through like nothing happened. Bail, full-in stuck. I love that she legit just whacked the crap of her heel and it doesn’t phase her at all. 9.725

5:31 pm. Khamedoost, OSU, VT- Leg sep on her FTY, a little short, huge hop back. 9.675

5:30 pm. Lopez, Utah, UB- It’s crazy that I remember seeing her in the first Nastia Cup ever. I think the podium was her, Diandra Milliner (MISS HER), and Lexie Priessman, who was like, five years old. MEMORIES. Huge Tkachev, bail, big double layout dismount with a tiny shuffle. 9.875

5:29 pm. Ricci, OSU, VT- Loose form in her FTY, big leg separation, knees totally bent, and a hop back. 9.725

5:28 pm. Schwab, Utah, UB- Big Tkachev, bail, stalder to double tuck, stuck! Beautiful. Think she was short on a couple of handstands though. 9.8

5:27 pm. Singley, OSU, VT- Block isn’t great at all…lands a little short and hops back. 9.8

5:26 pm. Lee, Utah, UB- Piked Jaeger to overshoot, solid. Giant full to double tuck with a small hop. 9.825

5:25 pm. Jacobsen, OSU, VT- FTY, a little short, step back. 9.8

5:19 pm. Utah has a tiny lead over Oregon State going into the second rotation, at 49.25 to 49.1.

5:18 pm. McMillan, OSU, UB- Big Jaeger to overshoot. Double layout with a slight hop back.

5:17 pm. Delaney, Utah, VT- FTY, tiniest little hop. Big and clean. 9.85

5:16 pm. Singley, OSU, UB- Straddle Jaeger, lovely pak, giant full to double tuck, looked stuck! 9.875

5:15 pm. Hughes, Utah, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, decent form, landing could’ve been better. 9.9

5:14 pm. Jacobsen, OSU, UB- Hit her feet on the sting mat as it was being pulled away on the giant into her Tkachev!!! But it didn’t phase her…right into the overshoot, double front with a step back. I wonder if they’ll dock her for whacking her foot? That was the mat-mover’s oversight. No, they didn’t! 9.8

5:13 pm. Partyka, Utah, VT- FTY, solid! Looked stuck from what I could see. Replay…just slight leg sep on the entry and maybe a tiny bounce in place. 9.85

5:12 pm. Gardiner, OSU, UB- Maloney to bail is super clean, double tuck with a step back. 9.75

Finally have those Cortland results! Cornell won 192.275 to Cortland’s 189.3.

5:11 pm. Rowe, Utah, VT- Just realized this is my first time seeing Utah this year! Big clean FTY. Hops back slightly. 9.775

5:10 pm. Khamedoost, OSU, UB- Maloney (leg sep) to bail, big stuck double layout. 9.85

5:09 pm. Lewis, Utah, VT- Clean FTY though she has some leg separation at several moments. Bounces back. 9.825

5:08 pm. M. Colussi-Pelaez, OSU, UB- Big Jaeger, bail with slight leg separation, nice last handstand, stuck double layout! Excellent. 9.75

5:07 pm. Lee, Utah, VT- Big and clean FTY, looked stuck. 9.825

5:05 pm. Live stats can be found here! Meet should begin shortly.

5:03 pm. Desi Dessaints isn’t even at the meet in Utah, she stayed in Corvallis, so for those asking about me she MUST be injured. Apparently it’s something with her shoulder.

4:53 pm. Arizona bumped up again, to 196.475!

4:49 pm. UCLA wins this one, 196.8 to Arizona’s 196.4. Nice close meet in the end! Lots of great things from Arizona, with a huge comeback from last week’s disaster.

4:46 pm. Ohashi, UCLA, BB- Ohashi 2.0. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before. Lots of applause as she goes up. OH, I think Victoria Moors busted the cap off the beam once. Nails bhs bhs layout. Seriously if she hits this she needs a 10, tbh. Switch ring with a wobble. Welp. There goes that dream. Full turn with a check. Her hair is in her eyes and she’s laughing. Switch to split jump. Double pike, chest down but hit. That was awesome. Oh, NCAA gym. 9.825

4:45 pm. Schneider, Arizona, FX- Big double pike, front layout to big front full. Omg, SLIM SHADY. HERE FOR THIS. Her music is fabulous. Nails double tuck. Give her ALL the points. 9.9

4:42 pm. Francis, UCLA, BB- Wobbles on a beat jump, WHY. Flu probs. Bhs loso is solid. Full Y turn. Transverse side aerial to gainer full stuck. NICE as usual. 9.85

4:41 pm. Sisler, Arizona, FX- Beautiful Rudi loso! NICE double full to punch front tuck. Hit the end, excellent work! 9.9

4:39 pm. Lee, UCLA, BB- Homma flairs are back! She can use her hands again. Great leap series. Side aerial to layout has a huge wobble. Beautiful double turn. Side aerial to layout full. 9.825

4:37 pm. Mattson, Arizona, FX- YAS “Roxanne” I don’t know why I love this music so much. Double pike is a tiny bit off but hit. 1.5 to front layout, step. Double tuck landed right on her toes. 9.875

4:36 pm. So Katelyn is getting medically evaluated and if she’s cleared, she can do her beam routine again, so no score for her.

4:34 pm. DeJesus, UCLA, BB- She’s wobbling on everything and misses her flight series. Switch to Shushunova. Does the front aerial to bhs a second time and hits the series. Front gainer full dismount with a hop. 9.8

Katelyn is going to compete again at the end of the rotation because the end of the beam came off and the judges are citing equipment malfunction! I’ve seen the end of the beam pop off before but no “redo.” Also is Katelyn okay enough to just bust out a casual second beam after breaking her neck?

4:32 pm. Edwards, Arizona, FX- Great double pike. Floaty 1.5 to front pike with a step. Front layout to front full with a step. Can no one stick front fulls or front lays? IT’S ALL I WANNA SEE. 9.65

4:29 pm. Ohashi, UCLA, BB- Press mount killing it. Nails her bhs bhs layout. Switch ring to beat jump, CASUAL. Full turn, switch to her weird switch split jump, misses foot going into her dismount and crashes her double pike onto her head basically. JFC. That was right on her neck. They’re checking her out and she’s smiling and gets up and looks okay and is laughing now while everyone pets her head. #JustKatelynThings Damn, she would’ve owned the all-around without that fall, though.

4:27 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, FX- Tucked full-in is a tiny bit short. 1.5 to front layout. Great double tuck to finish. 9.85

4:26 pm. Meraz, UCLA, BB- Solid bhs bhs loso, has a check AFTER she hits. Switch half. Split jump to straddle jump. Stuck 1.5! 9.85

4:24 pm. Cindric, Arizona, FX- Nice double pike. 1.5 to front layout. Nails 1.5 to front pike. 9.775

4:23 pm. Arizona bumped to 197.1 after Sheppard’s score jumps to 9.175 and Edwards to a 9.8.

4:22 pm. Gerber, UCLA, BB- Lovely mount and wolf turn, front aerial to beat jump, bhs loso, switch to split jump, short on side somi but saves it, bhs gainer full with a hop. 9.725

4:21 pm. Really feeling “7 Things” by Miley Cyrus in the background. Pac-12 immediately started playing crazy music probably because they don’t have the rights to anything.

4:15 pm. Okay, Sisler’s score is in and Arizona is at 147 going into the final rotation. Not bad considering their drama last week!

4:14 pm. No score for Sisler yet but UCLA is at 147.65 going into the final rotation! That sets them up for a 197+ final score if they can nail beam.

4:11 pm. Bynum, UCLA, FX- Double layout, excellent. Double tuck side pass, casual. Front tuck through to double tuck, solid. 9.925

4:10 pm. Sisler, Arizona, BB- Bhs bhs loso, solid. Switch to split jump. Front toss. Wobble on full turn. 1.5 with a hop forward. 9.825

4:07 pm. Cipra, UCLA, FX- I’m not even gonna watch her choreo because it’ll make me scream. Double tuck is great. I’m just gonna plug my ears right now. 1.5 to front half to straddle to front tuck, see, I didn’t watch the choreo and my eyes weren’t bleeding, causing me to miss that middle pass!! And it’s a GOLDEN pass! I should never miss it because my eyes are bleeding. Hahaha the commentators were like “the crowd loves this!” but the crowd is like “what exactly are we watching” hahaha. Double pike is solid. 9.9

4:05 pm. Sheppard, Arizona, BB- Nice side aerial but falls on her bhs loso. This dude just pronounced WOGA like “wagga” LOL. Is this Austin’s sister? Switch to switch side. Stuck 1.5 dismount. 9.175

4:03 pm. Preston, UCLA, FX- Front tuck through to double tuck, great! Double pike is a little short. Actually really like this routine! 9.875

4:00 pm. Cindric, Arizona, BB- She has the best RBF I’ve ever seen. Switch to split jump. Solid bhs loso. What a comeback they’re all having from last week! Full turn. Side aerial, clean. Beat jump to sheep jump. Stuck gainer pike! 9.875

3:58 pm. Ohashi, UCLA, FX- Solid double tuck to start. 1.5 to front full to front half to straddle jump to front tuck, excellent. Illusion is…meh but love that it’s there. Gorgeous double pike to finish. 9.85

3:56 pm. Mills, Arizona, BB- Front aerial to smooth bhs. Nice jump series. Stuck gainer full! 9.85

3:54 pm. Meraz, UCLA, FX- Double tuck, good. Solid front layout to front full to punch front pike. Double pike is a tiny bit short. 9.8

3:52 pm. Howard, Arizona, BB- Solid bhs loso. Great pike jump to back tuck. Full turn, switch to straddle 1/4, front full dismount with a little step. 9.775

3:50 pm. Hall, UCLA, FX- I love that her fingers go from ballet fingers to like, flexed hands in her opening choreo. 1.5 through to double tuck, a little short but such a good pass. Front full to front pike with a step. Double pike, little rebound back. 9.775

3:48 pm. Edwards, Arizona, BB- She and Sophina need to take pics with their colorful school spirit hair. Front aerial to bhs, slow connection. I think she wanted to connect that to the sissone as well but that’s also slow. Lovely attitude turn. Front toss. Switch to beat jump to ring jump. Punch front tuck full dismount. Great! 9.8

3:44 pm. UCLA maintains their lead, 98.3 to Arizona’s 97.925.

3:40 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, UB- Giant full to huge Tkachev to super messy overshoot. Giant full to double tuck with a small hop. 9.775

3:39 pm. Hall, UCLA, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, REALLY fights for the stick with her feet apart and her form is a little loose in the knees, but that was a big vault. 9.9

3:38 pm. Howard, Arizona, UB- Piked Jaeger, huge miss, landed face first on the mat. Her hands are nowhere near the bar so she won’t get credit unless she repeats. Doesn’t repeat…bail, giant full to double tuck, step back. 9.125

3:37 pm. Preston, UCLA, VT- Is this the first time we’re seeing her? No, she anchored Bama. FTY, hop back. Apparently has the flu. 9.8

3:36 pm. Laub, Arizona, UB- Rocking the red lipstick. Short on first handstand, clear hip to Tkachev, bail, slightly bent elbows, beautiful near-stuck double layout, literally the tiniest shuffle back. 9.875

3:35 pm. Bynum, UCLA, VT- Yurchenko arabian with a step back to steady. Slight leg separation on the pre-flight as well, and she looks off-center. 9.875

3:34 pm. Mills, Arizona, UB- Giant full to Gienger, slight leg sep. Toe-on to messy-ish bail, full-in is a little deep, just a small step forward. 9.825

3:33 pm. Cipra, UCLA, VT- Clean and big FTY, slight hop back. 9.8

3:32 pm. Spencer, Arizona, UB- Good first handstand, huuuuge Gienger, bail to toe shoot, giant full to double tuck, suuuuper clean work there. Stuck dismount! 9.85

3:31 pm. Honest, UCLA, VT- Big FTY, off-center with a step back. 9.775

3:30 pm. Schneider, Arizona, UB- Toe-on to Gienger, slight leg sep. Bail, great last handstand, stuck double layout! 9.8

3:29 pm. Ohashi, UCLA, VT- She looks so nervous?! FTY, nice and big, but a big step back. 9.775

3:24 pm. Penn and Yale apparently rescheduled today’s meet for tomorrow due to the snow.

3:22 pm. UCLA leads after the first rotation, 49.15 to Arizona’s 48.8.

3:20 pm. Meraz, UCLA, UB- Toe-on to bail (ankle sep), Tkachev, good. Double layout basically straddled, lol. Step back. 9.8

3:19 pm. Cindric, Arizona, VT- Clean FTY, best block of the bunch, still piked and hopped back on the landing. 9.825

3:18 pm. DeJesus, UCLA, UB- Way short on first handstand, giant full to Gienger with leg sep UGH she was getting so much better with that. Ankle sep on bail to piked toe shoot, messy full-in with a hop forward. 9.75

3:17 pm. Edwards, Arizona, VT- FTY, another big hop back. They’re getting slammed on these landings. 9.725

3:15 pm. Tabitha Yim is dancing and that’s all I need from this meet.

Ohashi, UCLA, UB- Toe-on to bail (slight ankle separation), low Tkachev, a little short on her last handstand before the stuck full-out dismount. 9.925

3:14 pm. Sisler, Arizona, VT- FTY, some leg separation, a solid block, pike down and a hop back. 9.7

3:13 pm. Mossett, UCLA, UB- Good first handstand, giant half to Jaeger, falls. Side note, but Jordyn Wieber’s hair looks GORGEOUS. Pak with leg separation, nice last handstand before her full-in, stuck. 9.05

3:12 pm. Mattson, Arizona, VT- Yurchenko layout half with a step forward. Not the arabian. 9.8

3:11 pm. Honest, UCLA, UB- Beautiful first handstand, clear hip to huge floaty Tkachev, giant half to straddle-back, full-in gets good distance but not a ton of height, steps forward. 9.85

3:10 pm. There’s a dude trying to do quick hits on the broadcast but he has no idea what he’s doing.

Laub, Arizona, VT- FTY, slightly piked as she approaches the landing, bigger than the last FTY but a huge hop back. 9.75

3:09 pm. Francis, UCLA, UB- She’s apparently sick and isn’t doing floor. “As always with the Bruins, something can change.” TRUTH. Maloney to bail, some leg separation, into a toe shoot. Giant full to double pike with a step back. 9.825

3:08 pm. Felix-Terrazas, Arizona, VT- Solid FTY with a hop back. 9.7

I’ve fully given up on Cortland’s scores, by the way.

3:07 pm. Okay, finally found an Arizona vs UCLA link that isn’t wrestling. Don’t have live TV if you can’t schedule properly and your last event consistently pre-empts what’s upcoming yo?! This is a constant thing with the Pac-12 Network.

3:05 pm. Are we really missing Arizona vs UCLA because of wrestling right now?

2:58 pm. Five or ten minutes until they can figure out the scores for this meet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2:53 pm. I’ll have the final Cortland and Cornell scores with you as soon as they announce them! They’re still giving results for rotation 3. In a few minutes I’ll be back with Arizona vs UCLA!

2:49 pm. Cornell, BB 6- I really wish I could actually hear these names. Green, maybe? LOVE her mount, front walkover onto her butt. Front aerial to bhs loso, nice! Full turn, switch to sheep jump to beat jump. Aerial to layout full dismount. Excellent!

Riggs, Cortland, FX- Huge Rudi to start. I think I missed her middle pass. 1.5 to front tuck, one foot out-of-bounds as she takes a step forward.

2:46 pm. Dudley, Cornell, BB- Hit everything so far, just caught a jump into her back tuck. 1.5, holds the stick.

Goyden, Cortland, FX- HUGE opening pass. Double tuck or tucked full-in, I couldn’t see. Front full to punch front. Beautiful 1.5 to front layout!

2:43 pm. Spitzel, Cornell, BB- Hit flight series. Big check on a leap. Standing loso. Hit jump series. Punch front full, hit.

Gildemeyer, Cortland, FX- Double pike is solid. Whip to double full, lovely! Hit final pass.

2:41 pm. Cornell, BB 3- No idea who this is. Side aerial, switch to split jump. Hit dismount.

Cortland, FX 3- No idea. There’s a guy reading scores while the announcer is saying who’s up. GRR. Double pike, short, step forward. Hit middle pass. Solid double tuck.

2:36 pm. Cornell leads after 3 rotations, 144.15 to Cortland’s 141.0.

Mackey, Cornell, BB- This is either Huang or Mackey. The announcer said Huang but I’m pretty sure they’re yelling “come on Mackey.” Front aerial to bhs, solid. Switch to tuck jump 3/4. Punch front full dismount with a hop forward.

Filipski, Cortland, FX- Nails double pike. Front layout full to front tuck, steps forward and out-of-bounds. Rudi with two steps back.

2:34 pm. Cornell, BB 1-Hit leap series. Bhs to her knee into a front toss, LOVE! Such a cool little series. Punch front full dismount.

Cortland, FX 1- Couldn’t really see it at all…either a double tuck or double pike to start. Hit middle pass. Think the last was a 1.5 to punch front.

No idea who either of these were, sorry!

2:19 pm. Some exhibitions now. That was an awesome floor rotation for Cornell. Back with scores soon.

2:16 pm. Goyden, Cortland, BB- I think this is Goyden. Hit flight series and gainer pike dismount. No falls. 9.7

Dudley, Cornell, FX- Again, I *think* this is Dudley. The announcer is basically one big mumble on top of music and screams. Great double pike to start. Front layout to front full. Hit routine! 9.775

2:11 pm. Nagy, Cortland, BB- Bhs loso with a big wobble but a fight to stay on. Side aerial, off on something but I couldn’t see what. Hit dismount. They’ll have to count her fall. 9.0

Bourgeois, Cornell, FX- Looked like a tucked full-in? Really hard to see but nice landing! Wow, front tuck through to double tuck! Great. Finishes with a double tuck I think, the feed went janky. 9.7

2:09 pm. Riggs, Cortland, BB- Bhs loso, slight check but she holds on. Falls on a jump or leap. Hits front aerial, off again on a back tuck connected from a jump. Hit dismount. 8.225

Chiellini, Cornell, FX- 1.5 to punch front, big step forward. Nice front layout to front full. Hit last pass. 9.675

2:06 pm. Turso, Cortland, BB- Hits bhs loso. I missed pretty much everything else…hit dismount. 9.325

Molotsky, Cornell, FX- Double tuck to start. Hits Rudi. Front full to front layout, hit. Good work! 9.725

2:01 pm. Cornell leads after two, 95.725 to Cortland’s 94.65.

Gildemeyer, Cortland, BB- Check on bhs loso but fights to stay on. Front aerial. Switch to a tuck full maybe? to beat jump. Couldn’t see the middle jump at all but it was hit. Side aerial to layout full, nice! 9.325

Kurfirst, Cornell, FX- Double tuck, looked like her heel maybe went out but I couldn’t tell for sure. Hit second pass. Finishes with a solid Rudi. 8.8

1:58 pm. I can’t see beam literally at all. This should be fun!

Scozzie, Cortland, BB- Solid bhs loso. Steady on wolf jump to back tuck. Hit dismount. 9.4

Cronin, Cornell, FX- Great double pike to start. 1.5 to front layout. Hit routine! 9.55

1:55 pm. Warm-up now for the third rotation. I added in the scores from the first rotation below…the last two in Cornell’s UB lineup, Molotsky and Green, each got a 9.8!

1:51 pm. Yelton, Cortland, UB- Great first handstand! Toe shoot, short on bail, short on last handstand, double tuck with two steps forward. Looked like she lost steam by the end. 8.6

1:48 pm. Scozzie, Cortland, UB- Bail to toe shoot, giant full to double tuck with a step forward. 9.625

1:45 pm. Cobb, Cortland, UB- These poor girls with 90 minute waits between bar routines. Clear hip, handstands are all way short. Bail, short. Clear hip to toe-on to toe front tuck dismount. Interesting routine! 9.5

1:42 pm. Nagy, Cortland, UB- I think this is Nagy. Still hard to see. Straddle back, piked Jaeger, double tuck with a step. 9.575

1:41 pm. Cornell currently leads Cortland, 48.275 to 47.425 after the first rotation.

Bair, Cornell, VT- Handspring front pike, awesome power! 9.725

1:40 pm. Turso, Cortland, UB- Low Tkachev, bail a little short, full-in with a step back. Nice hit after a million hour wait! 9.475

1:39 pm. Dudley, Cornell, VT- FTY, legs slightly wild but a great attempt. 9.525

WILL CORTLAND EVER DO BARS?

1:38 pm. Kurfirst, Cornell, VT- Tucked FTY. Step. 9.225

1:37 pm. Bourgeois, Cornell, VT- Yurchenko layout, big step back. 9.55

1:36 pm. O’Brien, Cornell, VT- Yurchenko layout, a little piked, a step back. 9.25

1:34 pm. Franz, Cornell, VT- Looked like a stuck Yurchenko layout. 9.325

Stumpf, Cortland, UB- Giant full to Gienger, straddle back is a bit short, full-in with a step. 9.05

1:20 pm. Green, Cornell, UB- RAY!!! NICE. Bail to toe shoot, giant full to double tuck, small step. A little short on handstands throughout but excellent work. 9.8

1:18 pm. Molotsky, Cornell, UB- Nice Tkachev, straddle back, toe shoot, and double layout dismount, nearly stuck! 9.8

1:14 pm. Dudley, Cornell, UB- Super long wait. Toe-on to toe shoot, nice. Another piked Jaeger, right to overshoot. Impressive! A tiny bit short on last handstand, hits double tuck dismount with a step. 9.6

1:13 pm. This is literally my view of someone on bars, by the way…that tiny speck hanging from the high bar is Courtney Spitzer.

Screen Shot 2016-01-23 at 1.12.30 PM

1:11 pm. Spitzer, Cornell, UB- Piked Jaeger! Nice. Goes into a dead hang on the high bar before her dismount. Hit double layout dismount. 9.05

Filipski, Cortland, VT- Tucked FTY, good. 9.6

1:10 pm. Goyden, Cortland, VT- FTY with a big lunge back. Great attempt though! 9.475

1:06 pm. Cortland, VT 1- Yurchenko layout with a step. 9.475

Cortland, VT 2- Another Yurchenko layout, two big step back. 9.4

Gildemeyer, Cortland, VT- Tucked Yurchenko full, nice landing. 9.475

Cornell is going simultaneously and the bars are blocked by a giant basketball net so I’m probably not even going to attempt this…

Kurfirst, Cornell, UB- Didn’t see any of it. 9.525

Huang, Cornell, UB- Saw a giant full to bail, and a full-in with a step. 9.55

1:04 pm. Without stats and with a bird’s eye camera view, it might be a little difficult to figure out some of the competitors but I’ll do my best!

12:57 pm. I’m kicking off Saturday’s coverage with Cortland vs Cornell. If you haven’t heard, Temple started out yesterday at 2 pm to make the trek over to Pittsburgh, but an accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike had them in traffic at 8 pm, 80 miles from their destination. Because of their long wait, the snow built up around them and they’ve now been stuck for going on 17 hours. Follow them on Twitter to see their progress…it looks like the National Guard is just arriving. Keep these ladies in your thoughts!

FRIDAY JANUARY 22

11:56 pm. That’s it for tonight! I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon, definitely for Arizona and Utah at 3 pm ET, Utah and Oregon State at 5 pm ET, and then we’ll see after that because you never know which streams are going to work. 🙂 Make sure to check out the full schedule if you’re planning your day, and remember that some teams will be unable to compete this weekend due to the snow on the east coast. I’ve done strikeouts on the schedule when a meet has been canceled or if a team can’t show up.

11:54 pm. Sacramento State defeats Seattle Pacific, 194.425 to 188.425. Sac State finished with a solid 48.775 on beam while SPU, counting a fall and a missed series, is at only a 46.6 on floor.

11:41 pm. McCartney, Sacramento, BB- Beautiful mount, front aerial to front aerial to bhs, AWESOME. Full turn. Split full. We miss her dismount but by the screams, I can tell she hit. 9.875!

Glover, SPU, FX- Hits double pike well. Front full front layout with a solid landing. Double tuck, great finish, chest just slightly down. 9.725

11:38 pm. Caitlin Soliwoda, Sacramento, BB- Hits jump series, bhs loso loso with a check, full turn with a check, front toss with a slight check. Moving to floor… 9.7

Hayashida, SPU, FX- Double pike, over-rotated and rebounded back and out-of-bounds onto her butt. 1.5 to front tuck. Front layout to front full, short and stumbled back onto her butt. 8.35

11:37 pm. Rice, Sacramento, BB- Apparently hit everything including a stuck dismount. 9.625

11:35 pm. San Ramon, SPU, FX- Front tuck through to double tuck, over-rotated and sat. Whip to double full, a little short but a solid pass. 8.025

11:33 pm. Benning, Sacramento, BB- Bhs loso, little check. Front aerial. Hits gainer full. Nice! Double pike, also over-rotated and sat. 9.65

11:30 pm. Atchison, SPU, FX- Front double full is definitely about a half rotation short, which she jumps around. Double full, a little wild, bounced back. Was supposed to connect a punch front out of it. Tour jete half to wolf full. Rudi stepped out-of-bounds, missed the salto out of it again. 9.0

Konner, Sacramento, BB- Looked like a loso loso! They’re saying one-armed bhs to loso but I’m pretty sure she did it no-handed. Standing loso, full turn, switch leap to tuck jump 3/4, that’s all we get to see. 9.725

11:28 pm. Sullivan, SPU, FX- Front double full, a tiny bit short but covers it up and looks like she is able to make it. Rudi with a little stumble back. Solid 1.5 to front layout! 9.7

Anderson, Sacramento, BB- Didn’t get to see any of this unfortunately. 9.825

11:23 pm. Sacramento State leads 145.65 to Seattle Pacific’s 141.825. The Hornets hit floor for a huge 48.925 while SPU had to count a fall on beam for a 47.475 there.

11:17 pm. Benning, Sacramento, FX- Full-in, nice! Front layout to front full. Double pike. Excellent job. Sacramento State’s floor is to die for. 9.8

11:15 pm. Hayashida, SPU, BB- Bhs loso, solid. Switch leap to ring jump, great! Side aerial. Stuck front layout full dismount. 9.85

11:13 pm. Rice, Sacramento, FX- Nails opening pass and is having a blast with the routine. Front full to front layout half to stag jump, excellent. TRIPLE SPIN. Ugh, they cut away, but sounds like she hit. 9.85

11:12 pm. Hundley, SPU, BB- Was going for a bhs loso loso, but fell on the second loso, which was a little short. Full L turn with a big check. Gainer loso with another huge wobble. Switch half, and she finishes with a front layout full with a slight step. 8.75

11:09 pm. Villanueva, SPU, BB- Bhs loso, slight check. Switch to straddle half. Bhs to gainer full off the side, tiny step. 9.7

Williams, Sacramento, FX- Random bhs loso in the middle of the routine is really pretty actually. Her choreo rocks. Solid front layout to front full. 9.725

11:06 pm. Harger, SPU, BB- Great bhs loso. Front punch with a bobble. Switch leap. Missed connection to split jump. 1.5 with a tiny step forward. 9.525

Konner, Sacramento, FX- LOVE her music. Can tell she hit her opening pass from the screaming. Apparently it was a double pike. Second pass is a great double tuck. NICE whip to 1.5 to front layout! 9.7

11:03 pm. Okamura, SPU, BB- Full turn, bhs bhs loso, painful fall onto her stomach/crotch before she bounces to the mat. She gets back up though. Impressive three-element series though. Switch to split 3/4, fall again. You could tell she put like, zero effort into the split 3/4, probably because her lady parts are super painful. Solid 1.5 dismount. 8.25

McCartney, Sacramento, FX- Joined this one in the middle. Excellent front layout to front full as her last pass. 9.8

11:02 pm. Glover, SPU, BB- Full turn, nice. They’re doing beam and floor at the same time so I don’t think we’ll get to see much of Sacramento. Solid bhs loso! Switch half to split jump. Front aerial to sissone, wow! 1.5, tried to fight for the stick but takes just a small step forward. 9.65

Brenner, Sacramento, FX- Caught it from a solid double tuck. 9.6

10:59 pm. Michigan with another 196.9-range score as they get a 196.9 even to beat Illinois with a 195.15. [Results]

10:57 pm. Sacramento State leads Seattle Pacific 96.725 to 94.35.

10:56 pm. Beltran, SPU, UB- I thought this was an exhibition so I didn’t really pay a ton of attention but she hit, including a double tuck dismount, for a 9.625.

10:49 pm. Hundley, SPU, UB- Great first handstand into a huuuuge Tkachev! Great applause. Giant full to bail to toe shoot. She’s awesome! This is DII, remember that. Double layout with a tiny hop. YAS! 9.625

10:48 pm. Harger, SPU, UB- Hop front giant with a muscle up after being short, bail is short, giant full to double tuck, little hop on the landing. 9.35

10:47 pm. McCartney, Sacramento, VT- Handspring front pike half, great landing. 9.825!

10:46 pm. Konner, Sacramento, VT- Yurchenko layout half, solid. 9.775

10:45 pm. Kano, SPU, UB- Nice first handstand before the bail, which is short, to toe shoot…giant full is a mess, doesn’t get the momentum she needs to push off for the double tuck, and she’s short and falls forward. 8.625

10:44 pm. Caitlin Soliwoda, Sacramento, VT- FTY kind of close to the table and with a step forward, definitely short. 9.575

10:43 pm. Schmeiss, Sacramento, VT- Big FTY, just a slight step to the side. 9.6

10:41 pm. Rice, Sacramento, VT- Solid FTY, slightly short. 9.65

Atchison, SPU, UB- Falls on Jaeger. Gets back on for overshoot, double tuck dismount with two steps back. 8.375

10:39 pm. Kyle, Sacramento, VT- FTY, super close to the table and with a big step back, but a solid start. 9.575

Villanueva, SPU, UB- Straddle back to toe shoot, short on last handstand, great double layout with a small step. 9.6

10:34 pm. Sacramento State leads 48.3 to Seattle Pacific’s 47.525.

10:30 pm. Invested in Jesse Williams’ bars exhibition right now because she apparently does a Ezhova. She fell after getting lost on some giants…big Tkachev, YEP, Ezhova!!! But she fell after catching it. UGH. Love it anyway.

10:27 pm. Benning, Sacramento, UB- Lovely lines. Bail to Ray, great! Awesome last handstand before clean double layout, tiny step on the landing. 9.7

10:26 pm. McCartney, Sacramento, UB- Love her. Bail to toe shoot, clear hip to Gienger, hit dismount. Good work. 9.75

10:25 pm. Hundley, SPU, VT- Yurchenko layout half, small hop forward. 9.775

10:24 pm. Rice, Sacramento, UB- Hair in two baby bun pigtails. Bless the Rice family. Bail to toe circle, Markelov is great, she missed her dismount last week but hits it this time, a full-in with a good landing. 9.75

10:23 pm. Harger, SPU, VT- Yurchenko layout half. Stumbles forward quite a bit and flew into a huge mat at the end of the landing pad LOL. Oy. 9.0

10:22 pm. Caitlin Soliwoda, Sacramento, UB- Yeah, we don’t get to see most of this. Double layout, hit! Good work. 9.75

Glover, SPU, VT- Huuuuge FTY. Pretty awesome that this DII school has a million FTYs?! 9.7

10:20 pm. Anderson, Sacramento, UB- Giant full to Gienger to overshoot, struggles a little. And they cut away from her. BOO. Sounds like she hit the dismount. 9.35

Beltran, SPU, VT- FTY, was pretty tucked and close to the table. 9.575

10:19 pm. San Ramon, SPU, VT- Crashed her FTY. 8.975

10:18 pm. Atchison, SPU, VT- Maybe a Yurchenko layout? They showed the vault runway instead of the table. 9.475

Courtney Soliwoda, Sacramento, UB- Fell after her overshoot I think, I couldn’t really see! 9.2

10:14 pm. While I wait for SPU vs Sac State to get underway, there’s some discussion about Bridgey Caquatto not doing a double rotation pass, i.e. a skill connected to another skill (like a front full to front layout). According to gym legend Sarah Chrane, who is married and now Sarah Keegan but I will always call her Sarah Chrane for some reason, she should be at a 9.8 start value and yet she was awarded the full 10.0 today.

10:09 pm. Gonna try to give you what I can from Seattle Pacific vs Sacramento State! I love Sac State’s beam and floor work. They’re doing the touch warm-up now so come back in a few minutes.

10:07 pm. LSU defeats Kentucky, 196.575 to 195.1. Not a great meet for LSU, as they were hoping to improve on their ranking and that probably won’t really happen this week as they have yet to reach 197. But promising despite their falls and issues.

10:05 pm. Gnat, LSU, FX- Huge double layout! No problem. 2.5 to punch front tuck is excellent. Awesome double pike to finish. 9.95

10:03 pm. Hyland, Kentucky, BB- Switch to split jump. Cat leap to front aerial to bhs is lovely. Cat leap to side aerial to tuck full, chest down but a great stuck landing. 9.85

10:01 pm. Wyrick, LSU, FX- Tucked full-in, awesome! Whip half to front layout to front half, crazy and fun. Switch side to Popa. Double tuck is a bit low. 9.875

10:00 pm. Florida wins, 197.075 to Auburn’s 195.9!

9:59 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, FX- Piked full-in to start. I kind of LOVE that Auburn casually has three full-ins on floor. Hits middle pass and double pike to finish. Great job. 9.9

Dukes, Kentucky, BB- Switch half, solid. Full turn, excellent bhs loso, front aerial to beat jump, switch to straddle 1/4, stuck 1.5. Beautiful routine! 9.9

9:57 pm. Sloan, Florida, BB- Front aerial, big check. Wow, even Bridget is not herself on beam at Auburn. Bhs loso is great though. Switch to split jump to beat jump. Side aerial, roundoff to double full, not stuck but only sliiiightly off, right on her toes. 9.875

Kelley, LSU, FX- Her feet are out-of-bounds before her run into her double layout?! LOL?! Lawd, this is level 4. Double layout is slightly short. Front full, I literally don’t remember if her layout was before or after this, hahaha. I hate that pass so much because we see it 600 times a day. Double tuck to finish is strong. 9.65

9:55 pm. Hlawek, Auburn, FX- Sits double arabian, bummer. Front layout to front full to front layout. Double tuck a bit short. 9.175

Rechenmacher, Kentucky, BB- Front aerial is a little short. Full turn, bhs loso is solid, cat leap to switch half, gainer pike dismount is stuck on her toes. 9.775

9:53 pm. McMurtry, Florida, BB- Cat leap to front toss, solid. Nails bhs loso. Switch to Shushunova to back hip circle, love it. Full turn. Double full with a slight hop. They’re all chanting 10 for some reason because they’re Florida and that would’ve been a 10 at home. 9.9

9:52 pm. Zamardi, LSU, FX- Double arabian is a bit off, big step forward but keeps it in-bounds. 1.5 to front layout. Rudi, and she lands right at the edge of the mat, so she can’t stand it up and falls back onto her butt. 9.3

9:51 pm. Kluz, Auburn, FX- Tucked full-in into a big but controlled lunge. Hits middle pass, one of those front full to front layouts or 1.5 to front layouts, I wasn’t really focusing. Double back, a tiny bit short, but good landing. 9.85

Rosa, Kentucky, BB- Bhs layout with a step back, front aerial with a check, cat leap to switch side, bhs loso into a layout full dismount with a hop back. Shorted on start value because they didn’t give her final series credit as both a series AND a dismount. 9.575

9:50 pm. Boren, Florida, BB- Bhs loso, big check. Switch to straddle jump. Random wobble after something, like she hit the skill then randomly decided to wobble. Full turn, roudnoff double tuck, a little short with a hop to the side. 9.775

9:49 pm. Hambrick, LSU, FX- Excellent double layout. 2.5 to punch front tuck, step forward. Solid double pike to finish. Great work. 9.9

9:48 pm. Demers, Auburn, FX- She crashed her piked full-in opening pass last week. Like, brutally. Let’s see if she does it this week…yup, does it, and hit well. Front layout to front full with a step. Great double pike to finish. Excellent job. 9.925

9:47 pm. Roemmele, Kentucky, BB- Full turn, bhs loso is solid, sheep jump. I remember when ASac added a sheep jump into her beam in 2012 and I tweeted it and people thought I was lying. Side aerial, hits jump series, 1.5 stuck right on her toes and she cheats out to salute. 9.85

9:46 pm. Fassbender, Florida, BB- Front aerial, Bhs loso, check. Another check after her sheep jump. Side aerial to layout full, looked stuck. 9.75

9:45 pm. Ewing, LSU, FX- Front double full looks a tiny bit under-rotated but she whips the rest around easily right as she lands. Front full to front layout with a step. NAILS double pike. Excellent ending. 9.85

9:44 pm. Rott, Auburn, FX- Huge double layout, good control on what could’ve been a crazy landing. THANKS POWER. Good amplitude on jumps. Hit middle pass, double pike into a decently controlled lunge. 9.85

Whittle, Kentucky, BB- Full turn, switch to tuck 3/4, side aerial to Korbut, lovely and quick. Nice stag jump. Gainer pike with a slight hop. 9.775

9:43 pm. Ernst, Florida, BB- Front toss, solid. Apparently Jenny Rowland can’t watch beam without Claire Boyce standing to her left? Okay. Full turn, front aerial with a check before her back tuck. Good connection despite the wobble though. Split jump to sheep jump, cleanest sheep jump in the NCAA. There’s some nonsense out there. Gainer pike dismount stuck. 9.625

9:41 pm. Milliet, Auburn, FX- Her lipstick game is killing it. Remember when she should’ve gone to Worlds in 2013 for bars and beam???? She was my original Brenna. Front layout front full, and she just stumbled randomly going into her switch ring?! Kathy was like “that’s too bad” LOL okay Carly. 1.5 to front layout. Double tuck, short with a step forward. 9.65

9:39 pm. Baker, Florida, BB- Full wolf turn, super steady. Rhonda Faehn’s prob like WHY COULDN’T I GET HER TO DO THAT. Front aerial to bhs, solid. Split jump to split half. Side aerial to layout full with a slight hop back. Great start. 9.85

9:37 pm. Florida’s leading Auburn, by the way, 147.925 to 146.725.

9:36 pm. Missouri beats Georgia, 195.8 to 195.35. I can’t even take that Georgia score seriously…WHY.

9:35 pm. Harris, Missouri, FX- LOVE this gal on floor. Double pike into a controlled lunge, great! Front layout to front full with a step. Big double tuck into a controlled lunge. EXCELLENT. And Missouri’s gonna beat Georgia! 9.925

9:34 pm. Dukes, Kentucky, FX- She is a cinnamon roll. Double pike, great. Front full to front tuck with a slight step. Double tuck, a little short, step forward. 9.75

9:33 pm. Box, Georgia, BB- Hits opening jump, a straddle full? Tuck full? I missed everything aside from the fact that it was a full. Nails bhs loso, solid. Switch to straddle 3/4. No one cares about the moonwalk in Missouri. Full turn. Slight check on front aerial into the beat jump. 1.5 with slightly messy legs, stuck with feet apart. At least she stayed on! 9.875

9:32 pm. Caquatto, Florida, FX- Front double full is a mess. I still can’t believe she’s the anchor. Hits middle pass, and double pike is super low, knees bent. 9.775

Gnat, LSU, BB- Front aerial, little stumble into beat jump. Full turn. Switch to straddle 1/4. Lovely switch side. Bhs loso is solid. Double full stuck with her chest down. 9.875

Porter, Missouri, FX- Looks like she’s having a lot of fun. Finishes with a solid double tuck. Whole thing is great! 9.825

9:31 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, BB- Hit routine, including side aerial to back tuck full. 9.625

9:30 pm. Puryear, Kentucky, FX- Rudi loso, nice. Awesome switch ring but her tour jete half is a little short. Double tuck is short, and she puts her hands down! UGH. Fingers literally graze the floor. 9.35

Rogers, Georgia, BB- Hits jumps, check on a leap, I think a switch half. Full-twisting back handspring is a little off…slight check. Bhs loso, and she’s off. SIGH. Does her Rogers skill but doesn’t lift the hand. 1.5 with a hop. 9.175

9:29 pm. Baker, Florida, FX- Arabian double pike, little step forward but it was huge as usual. Nails double pike. 1.5 to layout half to straddle jump. YAY. 9.95

9:28 pm. Finnegan, LSU, BB- Lovely mount. Triple wolf turn is super wild, though. Solid bhs loso. Switch half to beat jump. Side somi, chest down. Side aerial to layout full with a tiny hop. 9.9

Turner, Missouri, FX- Nice double pike, chest slightly down. Front full to front layout. Double tuck, stumbled back and out-of-bounds. 9.625

9:27 pm. Milliet, Auburn, BB- Hit everything so far…I missed a lot. Front aerial, stuck gainer full. 9.725

9:26 pm. Phipps, Kentucky, FX- Roundoff into her double back…the landing is a little off but she fights for it. Front full to front layout, solid. Punch Rudi, a little crooked and her chest is slightly down. 9.75

Schick, Georgia, BB- I think the two who fell earlier were the two who actually hit last week. Shcick fell last week. So did the remainder of this lineup. Hits bhs loso this time…front aerial with a wobble into her jump series. Side aerial, stuck gainer full with a little fight. YAY HIT. 9.625

9:24 pm. Sloan, Florida, FX- 1.5 through to 2.5, great! Excellent double pike. Nails 1.5 to front layout. 9.925

Ewing, LSU, BB- Bhs layout, solid. Ooh, so she’s the gymnast I always get excited about because her music is “Hallelujah” and ASac just said it’s her brother’s cover of the song! LOVE. Sydney’s brother, not ASac’s in case that wasn’t clear. Switch to switch side, full turn, standing loso to straddle 1/4, 1.5 dismount with a slight hop. 9.875

9:23 pm. Demers, Auburn, BB- Check on flight series. Stuck layout full dismount. Did I really not see anything else in that?! 9.75

Stuart, Kentucky, FX- Double pike, a little rebound back. 1.5 to front layout with a step. Rudi, chest down a little. 9.775

Kern, Missouri, FX- Double pike, controlled lunge. Front full to front layout. Rudi with messy legs. Fun routine though. 9.825

9:21 pm. Boren, Florida, FX- Full-in, very big. Nice 1.5 to front layout. Little bobble on the landing on her last pass. 9.9

Jay, Georgia, BB- Come on Brandie, you’re my only hope. Cat leap to side aerial, slight check. Front toss to bhs, form isn’t the best but it’s solid. Switch to Shushunova to hip circle. Side somi. 1.5 nearly stuck. BRING IT. 9.85

9:20 pm. Gauthier, LSU, BB- Effs up her beam mount, hahaha, that was actually funny?! Like barely got from the springboard onto the beam. Bhs loso is good, though. Switch to tuck jump full. Split jump to loso, nice. 1.5 with a small hop. 9.65

9:19 pm. Engler, Auburn, BB- Bhs loso, falls. She’s catching the virus from Georgia. 1.5 dismount with a step. 9.225

Bower, Missouri, FX- Perfectly stuck double pike. Ends second pass with a punch front tuck. Double tuck into a controlled lunge. 9.675

9:18 pm. Rosa, Kentucky, FX- Double layout, way short, puts her hands down. BUMMER. Excellent straddle jump randomly before front layout to front full. 8.95

9:17 pm. Fassbender, Florida, FX- 2.5 to punch front tuck, a little low. Double pike, chest low. Ends with something into a front pike. Meh. 9.825

Babalis, Georgia, BB- Front aerial with a pause before her loso and she falls. Leap to full turn. I think a front full dismount, I missed the entry. 9.075

9:16 pm. Hambrick, LSU, BB- Big wobble on hitch kick to side aerial. Switch to straddle 1/4. Another big wobble on her flight series, a bhs loso. Stuck double full. 9.7

9:15 pm. Krippner, Auburn, BB- Smooth bhs loso, just a bobble on the landing. Hits jumps, stuck 1.5 with feet apart. 9.775

Kelly, Missouri, FX-  Double pike into a controlled lunge. Front layout to front full with a step. Double tuck, lunge. 9.825

9:14 pm. McLaughlin, Florida, FX- Front layout to front full, hit. Is that her full pass or did I miss it? Yeah, that was her first pass. Rudi is a little short. 1.5 to front pike. 9.75

Roemmele, Kentucky, FX- “Bittersweet Symphony!” Double pike, great. Punch front Rudi, White Stripes music change. Great jump series. 1.5 to front layout. Great work. 9.775

Broussard, Georgia, BB- One-armed bhs to loso, hit. Such a scary rotationnnn!!! Hit jumps, full turn, oops, and fell on something but I missed it. Here we go. Hit gainer full. 9.15

9:13 pm. Hlawek, Auburn, BB- Bhs loso with super loose form in her legs. Switch to split jump. Nicely-connected front toss to beat jump. Stuck 1.5 with her chest down. 9.775

Macadaeg, LSU, BB- Full turn. Switch to switch half with a little check into the beat jump. Front aerial to straddle jump, good. Bhs loso with a little smile when everyone cheers. Gainer full with a tiny hop. 9.825

9:12 pm. Southeast Missouri beat Centenary, 193.225 to 190.425. [Results]

9:10 pm. Just so you know, the BYU stream is FREE! Check it out and try to see some of Boise State. They’re doing a fantastic job so far!

9:07 pm. Going into the halfway point, Florida leads Auburn 98.55 to 98.025. With one rotation to go, Georgia leads Missouri 147.675 to 146.725.

Over in Baton Rouge, LSU leads 98.175 to Kentucky’s 97.55. LSU had a 48.8 counting a fall on bars while Kentucky had a 48.7 with some sloppy vaults.

9:05 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, UB- Huge Tkachev, beautiful stuck full-in dismount. 9.875

Zamardi, LSU, UB- Good first handstand before Maloney to pak, so clean. Markelov is great, arabian double front dismount. 9.825

Turner, Missouri, BB- Front toss to back tuck, really cool combo! Lovely leap series. Cartwheel to 1.5 with a little hop. This was an exhibition. HOLLA.

9:04 pm. McMurtry, Florida, VT- Beautiful stuck FTY as usual. 9.9

Dukes, Kentucky, VT- Yurchenko arabian, slightly piked with some tiny steps, 9.8.

9:03 pm. Milliet, Auburn, UB- Hits release, beautiful straight pak, giant full to double tuck, great landing. 9.825

Finnegan, LSU, UB- Huge Ray, fall! NOOOOO. Alicia Sacramone talking about her becoming the alternate in 2012 is kind of hilarious. But Alicia says “she was known for her bars and that’s why she got that spot” actually you’re SUPER wrong, but shhh that’s okay. Bail, double layout with a step back. 9.3

Jay, Georgia, FX- Half-in half-out stuck before she jumps it into a lunge. YAS. Middle pass is clean. Whip half to front full. Great! 9.9

9:02 pm. Boren, Florida, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, legs are a little loose, small hop back. 9.8

9:01 pm. Kluz, Auburn, UB- Huuuuge release. Beautiful stuck double layout. 9.85

Ward, Missouri, BB- Solid three-skill flight series! Excellent. Great cat leap to side aerial. 1.5 with a small hop. 9.9

8:59 pm. Engler, Auburn, UB- Jaeger, double layout is piked, step. 9.725

Savona, LSU, UB- Shaposh to bail (messy). Giant full to low Tkachev. Double layout with a step. Better than last week but her form is still so loose. 9.85

8:58 pm. Sloan, Florida, VT- FTY, fantastic, just a hop in place. 9.85

Davis, Kentucky, VT- Front handspring onto the springboard, front handspring, front tuck, super low landing but feet are stuck. Butt almost brushes the mat though. 9.6

8:57 pm. Krippner, Auburn, UB- Maloney to bail, both a little messy. Tkachev, dismount with two big steps back. 9.7

Hyland, Kentucky, VT- Clean FTY, just a step back. 9.725

8:55 pm. Kopec, Auburn, UB- Lovely Jaeger to overshoot, though she has a hesitation on the overshoot. Stuck double layout. 9.825

Gnat, LSU, UB- Giant full to Gienger, over-arches on handstand and has to re-start her swing. Bail, toe shoot, good last handstand, double layout with a step. 9.35

Box, Georgia, FX- Solid double pike, final pass is a double tuck into a controlled lunge. Looked like she was having a blast. Everyone’s thrilled. 9.9

8:54 pm. Caquatto, Florida, VT- FTY with a huge bounce back. 9.75

Beucler, Kentucky, VT- FTY, slight hop back, not a ton of height or distance. 9.525

Schugel, Missouri, BB- Bhs loso loso, decent series but she has a check at the end and her legs are slightly bent. Leg up after her full turn, nice leaps, stuck gainer full. 9.825

8:52 pm. Marino, Georgia, FX- Huge double layout to start…I missed her middle pass, but it ended with a front layout. Double pike to finish, solid. 9.875

8:51 pm. Miller, Missouri, BB- Bhs loso with a big wobble and break at the waist. Hits jump series. Cat leap to side aerial with a slight check. Sticks gainer layout. 9.775

Florida leads Auburn, 49.325 to 48.925 after Auburn’s pretty messy vault rotation.

8:48 pm. McMurtry, Florida, UB- Hit everything, I didn’t pay super close attention, huuuuge stuck full-in. 9.9

Babalis, Georgia, FX- Roundoff straight into a big double tuck to start. Front layout to front full. Hit routine! 9.725

8:47 pm. Atkinson, Auburn, VT- Yurchenko 1.5 with a huge step forward. 9.825

Bower, Missouri, BB- Big check on flight series. Cat leap to side aerial with a stumble, gainer full with a slight step. 9.675

8:46 pm. Sloan, Florida, UB- Big Ray with flexed feet. Beautiful handstand before toe-on to messy bail to toe shoot. Major form errors so far while Kathy is calling her technique “superior.” Double layout with a great stuck landing. 9.925

LSU leads 49.375 to Kentucky’s 48.85 going into the second rotation.

8:45 pm. Rott, Auburn, VT- FTY, suuuuper short, knees are crazy bent on the landing. 9.675

Snead, Georgia, FX- Whip through to double tuck, great, just piked a bit at the end. I missed her middle pass but she finishes with a solid double pike. 9.8

8:44 pm. Caquatto, Florida, UB- Tkachev, toe-on to bail, stuck double layout with her chest down. 9.9

Whittle, Kentucky, UB- Bail, a tiny bit short on a handstand before her giant full to Tkachev, way short on last handstand before giant full to a layout 1.5 with a step. Fun dismount, though! 9.7

Allbritten, Missouri, BB- Hit flight series, that was all I saw in detail. But was a fully hit routine. 9.75

8:43 pm. Demers, Auburn, VT- FTY with a step back but it’s a big clean vault. 9.8

Gnat, LSU, VT- DTY, ugh, that’s what dreams are made of. I hate tens for not perfect vaults and she def had leg separation in the pre-flight. But that is getting a ten and I DON’T CARE. 10!

8:42 pm. Dancose-Giambattisto, Florida, UB- Toe-on to Maloney to bail, lovely work. Short on last handstand, double layout with split legs and a hop back. I can’t wait until she graduates so I can stop typing her name. 9.775

Dukes, Kentucky, UB- Over a little on first handstand, toe-on to big Tkachev, pak with slight leg separation, double layout with a little hop. 9.75

8:41 pm. Phillips, Auburn, VT- Huge FTY in terms of distance but she’s pretty low and short. Piked down and a step forward. 9.725

Hambrick, LSU, VT- Glad to see she’s not injured from that beam fall that took her out of the floor rotation last week. FTY, huge, tiny foot movement. 9.875

8:40 pm. Boren, Florida, UB- Very low Tkachev, bail is super heavily spotted, double layout, piked with a step back. 9.8

Rechenmacher, Kentucky, UB- Jaeger, bail, short on last handstand, giant full to double tuck, tiny hop. 9.775

Wyrick, LSU, VT- Yurchenko layout half, a little deep, but stuck. 9.8

8:38 pm. Baker, Florida, UB- Big Ray, bail with messy legs, over-rotated double front and hopped forward. 9.8

Hyland, Kentucky, UB- Short on first handstand, giant full to Gienger, short on handstand before bail to toe shoot, short on last handstand as well…and dismounts with a stuck full-in. Handstands need work but overall a good routine. 9.775

8:37 pm. Krippner, Auburn, VT- Clean FTY, little hop back. 9.775

Priessman, LSU, VT- FTY, huge, crazy leg separation on pre-flight, chest is a tiny bit down on the landing and she has a little step. 9.725

Georgia leads 98.45 to Missouri’s 97.725, by the way. Georgia had a 49.275 on vault.

8:36 pm. Coca, Kentucky, UB- A little over on the first handstand, nice Jaeger, bail, pings off for full-in with a tiny step. 9.75

8:35 pm. Things are going to get crazy because I’m about to add Florida and Auburn to the mix as well!

Ewing, LSU, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, excellent and stuck! Looks a little hesitant on the landing. Some leg separation on the pre-flight as well. 9.975!

8:34 pm. Stuart, Kentucky, UB- Tkachev with slightly bent knees, clear hip to a great handstand into a bail, awesome. Awesome stuck full-twisting double layout!! 9.8

8:33 pm. LSU and Kentucky are just starting up.

Macadaeg, LSU, VT- FTY, way short. 9.525

Miller, Missouri, UB- Piked Jaeger. Missouri has a lot of those! Bail a little short, to toe shoot, way over-rotated double layout with a hop back. 9.725

8:32 pm. Jay, Georgia, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, tons of power, slight hop forward. 9.875

8:30 pm. ARKANSAS BEATS ALABAMA 196.7 to 196.4!!! FANTASTIC meet for the Razorbacks, especially on the road at a huge rival program!

Rogers, Georgia, VT- Beautiful stuck Yurchenko 1.5! 9.875

Porter, Missouri, UB- Only caught her double front with a hop but it was a hit routine. 9.825

8:29 pm. Valentin, Alabama, FX- Big double front, stumbles. Double pike. Good, but not gonna do it. Arkansas sealed that deal on beam! 9.85

Marino, Georgia, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, very powerful, but noticeable form deductions. 9.825

Kelly, Missouri, UB- Piked Jaeger, a tad short on her bail, double layout with a slight hop back. 9.85

Vaculik, Georgia, VT- Hit FTY, a little short. 9.675

Bower, Missouri, UB- Jaeger, full-in with a hop. 9.75

8:23 pm. McGlone, Arkansas, BB- She struggled in the first two meets. Full turn, bhs loso, SOLID. The confidence is building! Switch to loso, wobble. Hits jump series. Stuck double full on her toes! Chest low. Her best beam yet though. 9.75

Broussard, Georgia, VT- Gorgeous stuck FTY! 9.825

Huber, Missouri, UB- Didn’t see anything aside from the double layout dismount, step back. 9.8

8:21 pm. Guerra, Alabama, FX- My first time seeing her compete since she randomly pulled out in the middle of nationals in like 2013. Double tuck to start, she was doing a double layout in elite. I’m sure that’ll come back someday. Double pike is super short. Two big steps forward. 9.65

8:19 pm. Freier, Arkansas, BB- Super solid leaps. Gorgeous and steady bhs loso. Caat leap to side aerial, solid. Hits jump series. Gainer full with a slight hop. 9.8

Kupets was giving Arkansas some sass earlier because they were all doing a 1.5 to front layout, but Alabama has 70 routines with a 1.5 to front full and then a 1.5 to front layout and Court’s pretty silent about that.

8:17 pm. Jetter, Alabama, FX- Double arabian, slightly low. 1.5 to front full with a skid that she smartly runs right out of into her choreo. 1.5 to front layout. 9.925

Georgia leads Missouri 49.175 to 48.775.

8:15 pm. Wellick, Arkansas, BB- Switch to straddle 1/4. Clean front aerial. Solid bhs loso, full turn, side somi, BEAUTIFUL double full. Tiny hop. Gorgeous. 9.9

8:12 pm. Zaziski, Arkanas, BB- Great flight series. Nice and steady. Switch to straddle 1/4. Beat jump to front toss, a little crooked, nice save. Stuck gainer full. 9.825

Lewis, Missouri, VT- FTY, slight bounce back. 9.775

Rogers, Georgia, UB- Stalder to Ricna to super straight pak. Toe-on to van Leeuwen, great. A little short on last handstand, double layout with a slight hop back. 9.85

8:10 pm. A. Sims, Alabama, FX- Double pike, controlled lunge. 1.5 to front layout. Double tuck to finish. Great landing. 9.875

Ward, Missouri, VT- Yurchenko half-on, front pike off. Great job!! 9.875

Jay, Georgia, UB- Bail, Shushunova, full-wtisting double layout with a step back. 9.85

8:08 pm. Dillard, Arkansas, BB- Front aerial to bhs loso, super steady. Switch to stag. Side aerial to split jump. STUCK 1.5!!! 9.85

Porter, Missouri, VT- Great FTY. 9.725

Schick, Georgia, UB- Jaeger, bail, double layout with a lunge forward. 9.8

8:06 pm. Harris, Missouri, VT- Big FTY, clean, big rebound back. 9.75

Snead, Georgia, UB- Tkachev is somewhat low, bail, great double layout! 9.8

8:05 pm. Miller, Missouri, VT- FTY, a little loose in form throughout, hop back. 9.65

Cherrey, Georgia, UB- Did she roll her eyes before mounting? Hahaha the Afanasyeva of Georgia. Tkachev, short on bail, beautiful stuck double layout. 9.75

8:01 pm. What an exciting meet this is turning into!? I’M HERE FOR IT. Arkansas now leads 147.475 to Alabama’s 147.025.

Adding Missouri vs Georgia now!

Kern, Missouri, VT- Hit FTY. 9.6

Vaculik, Georgia, UB- Toe-on to piked Jaeger, slightly short on bail, stuck full-in with knees considerably bent on the landing. 9.875

7:59 pm. Wellick, Arkansas, FX- Beautiful double pike to start. Front full to front layout with a little step forward. Excellent double back into a controlled lunge. 9.875

7:57 pm. Guerrero, Alabama, BB- You can hear Arkansas screaming “YEAAAAAH SYD!” after McGlone gets her 9.9. AWW. Bhs loso loso, looked like she whacked her foot on the first loso but it didn’t phase her! Hits jump series, and a 1.5 with a hop forward. 9.9

7:55 pm. McGlone, Arkansas, FX- Come on, Sydneyyyy. HUGE double layout, an upgrade already! Excellent! 2.5, little step. Excellent front full to front layout. YAS SYDNEY. 9.9!

7:53 pm. Winston, Alabama, BB- Lovely opening, front aerial, looked like a small check. Bhs layout, she’s super piked, and she falls. ARKANSAS GETTING SO EXCITED? Switch side. Double tuck with a hop back. 9.275

7:51 pm. Nelson, Arkansas, FX- Beautiful double pike. 1.5 to front layout, big step out of it but she covers it well. Solid double tuck to finish. 9.9

7:49 pm. Beers, Alabama, BB- Hits jumps, lovely flexibility leg hold, side somi with a little wobble, bhs loso with bent knees and she falls. Full turn. Split jump to sheep, legs apart on the sheep. 1.5 with a step. 9.35

7:47 pm. MacMoyle, Arkansas, FX- Double pike, a little short. “The Wevers” aka a little jump in her choreography that I fully named after Lieke Wevers. Front full to front layout, a little stumbley. Double tuck into a controlled lunge, good. 9.8

7:44 pm. A. Sims, Alabama, BB- Gotta be a ton of pressure to go in on beam knowing your team is basically doing five-up five-count after losing Rickett’s score. There’s a long wait to get it even though she did legit three skills. “We’re really bored watching Aja Sims wait to mount, so here’s a random clip of Jenny Rowland walking around! She doesn’t even coach either of these teams!” Hit jumps, bhs loso, switch to switch side, all gorgeous and solid. NAILS double tuck. Way to handle pressure. 9.95!!!!

7:42 pm. Canizaro, Arkansas, FX- Double pike, great landing. Double tuck with a step back. 1.5 to front layout with a step forward. Excellent! 9.9

7:40 pm. Rickett, Alabama, BB- Have I literally never seen her before? Oh, she’s a freshman. Full turn, OW, kills herself on her bhs loso. REALLY rough landing on the side of the beam. Gets up and limps around for a minute…and she’s carried off the floor. OW, her ankle in the slow-mo SLAMS against the side of the beam and bends in half. Worst debut ever. 😦 6.0

7:39 pm. Dillard, Arkansas, FX- I can’t hear her music AT ALL. Opens with a Rudi, lunges out of it. Front full to front layout to stag jump, great amplitude on the jump. Solid 1.5 to front layout at the end. 9.85

7:37 pm. McNeer, Alabama, BB- Front aerial, check. Full turn, bhs loso, hits jumps. Side aerial to beat jump, and dismounts with a roundoff to a stuck 1.5! She is quite the leadoff gymnast on literally every event. 9.85

7:34 pm. Bama holds their lead, 98.7 to Arkansas’ 98.05 at the halfway point.

7:31 pm. Brannan, Alabama, UB- Clean handstand, big Jaeger, GORGEOUS handstand before toe-on to bail, slightly short on the last handstand, double layout with the tiniest little step on one foot. She’s gonna get a 10 someday. I love how she and McKenzie Wofford were these undervalued junior elites and now their NCAA bars are GOALS. 9.875

7:30 pm. Nelson, Arkansas, VT- FTY, a little crooked, step back. 9.8

7:29 pm. Winston, Alabama, UB- Toe-on to Ray, nice extension on the Tkachev. Pak is beautiful, huge double layout with a hop back. 9.9

7:28 pm. Wellick, Arkansas, VT- Clean stuck FTY. GORGEOUS. Really beautiful flare out. 9.9! Would’ve been a 9.95 with the old code.

7:27 pm. Beers, Alabama, UB- Maloney to pak with some nice air, double front over-rotated with a step forward. 9.825

7:26 pm. McGlone, Arkansas, VT- Huge FTY, step back. So much power! 9.825

7:25 pm. Bailey, Alabama, UB- Huuuuge Jaeger. GORGEOUS handstands before the bail but then her body bends a little archily on the bail itself. HUUUUUUUUGEST full-out ever. Like WAY high but no distance at all so she basically lands on the bar. Crazy height though. Step on landing. 9.825

7:24 pm. Speed, Arkansas, VT- FTY, form is a little loose, hop back, maybe a little crooked? She is straight-up crooked. 9.8

7:23 pm. Jetter, Alabama, UB- Ray is a little lower than usual, bail to toe shoot, double front with a little hop in place. 9.875

7:22 pm. Zaziski, Arkansas, VT- FTY, good work, nothing big or flashy, looked stuck. 9.875

7:21 pm. McNeer, Alabama, UB- Big Ray, toe-on to bail (a little short), short on last handstand, clean double layout stuck on the tips of her toes with her chest basically bent in half. 9.825

7:20 pm. MacMoyle, Arkansas, VT- Beautiful FTY! Stuck. 9.875

7:15 pm. Alabama leads Arkansas 49.4 to 48.775.

Had to laugh at the commentary on Paige Zaziski’s dismount. She had some tiny baby steps on the landing, at which Melissa was like “nice!” and Courtney was like “NOOOOOO!” Dramatic much? #GetSomeChillCourtney

7:14 pm. Zaziski, Arkansas, UB- Giant full is a little off, into a big Tkachev with flexed feet, bail to toe shoot, clean double layout with a couple of steps. 9.775

7:13 pm. Beers, Alabama, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, beautiful form, but her rotation is a little off and she needs a huge step forward to make up for her rotation. 9.875

7:12 pm. Speed, Arkansas, UB- Toe half to wonky Jaeger, looks super unbalanced. Bail is short and a little bent over. Giant full to double tuck with a step. Literally everything she did was hella crooked? The Jaeger, bail, and giant full, all WAY off. 9.7

7:11 pm. Winston, Alabama, VT- FTY, her form is excellent, huge block, and a bounce back. 9.875

7:10 pm. Wellick, Arkansas, UB- Shaposh to clean bail, short handstand before big Tkachev, short on double front dismount and sits it down. 9.275

7:09 pm. Bailey, Alabama, VT- FTY, good form, little hop in place it looks like. 9.875

7:08 pm. Canizaro, Arkansas, UB- Short on all handstands. Hits bail and Tkachev, double layout with a tiny hop. 9.75

7:07 pm. Bresette, Alabama, VT- FTY, split legs on the pre-flight, great block though…hop back. 9.825

7:06 pm. Freier, Arkansas, UB- Maloney, clean handstand before toe-on to clean bail, such a slow and smooth bar worker…double layout with her chest down and a small step. 9.775

7:05 pm. Guerrero, Alabama, VT- Yurchenko 1.5, loose form, not a huge vault, and a tiny hop forward but a very solid effort. 9.9

7:04 pm. Glover, Arkansas, UB- Nice Jaeger to start. Clean straight bail, way short on last handstand though, and a giant full to stuck double tuck. 9.775

7:03 pm. McNeer, Alabama, VT- BEAUTIFUL stuck FTY. Wow. Some form nonsense especially with that pike at the end but hot damn. 9.875

6:56 pm. First up for the night is Alabama vs Arkansas! Join us in a few minutes when the meet gets underway.

    • Or, as it happens in ncaa – an imperfect 10. Her form is not the cleanest. Though, if a routine is to be over scored, I’m happy to see it be the only dty performed in ncaa.

      • I agree…I watched the meet after the fact knowing she was getting a 10 so naturally I kept my eyes open for mistakes, and they’re definitely there. But I’ve seen worse get 10s, and that stick definitely is one of the best so far among all vaults so in my book she gets a 10 for the stick alone!

  1. My new favorite skill to hate – the front toss! Where do these trends come from? Why do whole teams put this ugly skill into their beam routines?
Skill I was most excited to see this week- Peng Peng’s flares on beam. Love her and do happy to see her recovering from yet another injury.
