I’m really worried about Germany. All of their top seniors (apart from Alt, who is injured- out without a set date to return) are in their 20s. Sarah Voss is 19. there is literally not a single one coming up in the next couple seasons (except 1- Petz but she’s also injured and out for a long time)

Some of the 2004 juniors have real potential and recently switched or are about to switch from smaller clubs to the national training centres in Chemnitz or Stuttgart. Aiyu Zhu, this years national champion for Age group 14, had a rough meet. They still have some time to get more consistency and difficulty. No use to hurry. Look at the promising juniors from 2000 who had good difficulty at a yong age. Maike Enderle and Florine Harder struggled with injuries since becoming seniors and also Tabea Alt needs a longer rest now. Amelie Föllinger and Rebecca Matzon are also injured or in rehabilitation phase.
The younger seniors had some injury troubles as well, Helene Schäfer won’t be even able to compete this year.
