Urazova being able to contribute pretty much with all her 4 events as well as that consistency with no fall on all days? I really hope she can keep that up because she would be the new it girl for RU if she can keep it up to 2020
It’s been a while since they have someone like that

Who do you think will be on the Worlds team based on results? Melka and Lilia are locks (and Lilia has shown some improvement imo!)

Oh let me guess too! I love teams predictions 😉
While we wait for Lauren opinion let’s do our “team”
Melka and Lilia as you said, I think they will go with Simakova and Trykina, and obviously Paseka will be in the mix as long as she can walk 😀

Yeah, I think Melnikova and Akhaimova are definitely going…and then probably Simakova, Shchekoldina, and Spiridonova based on what Valentina is saying. Apparently Paseka and Iliankova are going the world cup route, so they’re out because that is going to be their focus…and there really isn’t anyone else I’d even consider, tbh! Maybe Trykina but I don’t think the Russian federation takes her seriously which is too bad.

Do you know if Mustafina and Komova are currently injured or just pacing themselves until 2020?

Komova is done, basically…and Mustafina is hoping to come back for 2020!

Will they consider Uliana? She doesn’t always hit but her score is still up there for All Around…No EF, though…

Yeah, for some reason they seem to be really anti-Uliana, which surprised me…she seemed like she was back in the mix at one point last year, but I think being so inconsistent on her best event kind of ruins it for her unfortunately.

Uliana is now training in Penza. I don’t understand why they don’t consider her…

Sorry, you must be all tired to answer questions about Tokyo qualification rules, but I thought that as Russia qualified last year, the girls on this year team wouldn’t have any problem…

Yes, that’s correct, but I think they’re planning on focusing on those competitions instead of going to worlds even though they CAN go to worlds.

Do you know if Paseka was credited with a Lopez or a Podkopayeva?
LikeLike
I’m not sure! I hate that they don’t include the D scores on their results!

I’m really curious because it looked way too piked to be credited as a Lopez but also, Russian Cup…

Yeah…I’m gonna have to go back and watch it, I’ve only seen a few routines so far, but I feel like the Russian judges have downgraded some of Melnikova’s vaults at home before so I’m not sure!

Same thing with Vorona’s and Gera’s beam routines in the final. Does anyone know how much they scored in D + E?
