      • Thanks. Which is, I guess, the 5 countries match (GER FRA ROM SUI GB) early september.
Curious to see if Scheder will also compete there ….GER badly needs aother mid 13s on UB

    • Not sure why Brassart and Vaelen didn’t compete, but I’d guess maybe they’ve already secured spots on the team? They’re both on the nominative roster and I think did enough to prove themselves by making Euros finals, assuming they’re still in the same condition. For the Belgians, this meet seemed more of a test for those who aren’t as steady or who haven’t competed in a while.

      • That makes sense. BEL’s depth is impressive (because what … population is like11 Millions …). Including Vaelen and Brassart scores from Euros that would be a 162 points …

        • Yeah, their depth is SO good considering the population, and their growth since 2015-2016 has been incredible. A lot of countries do well largely because of veterans staying around forever (Germany, the Netherlands) but Belgium has a really good mix of athletes who turned senior in the 2016 quad, the 2020 quad, and now the 2024 quad, and it’s good to see that they can get solid results even without someone like Nina Derwael!

  1. Bad news… Eli Seitz tore her Achilles tendon during floor training on Monday Sept 4th and will miss the World Championships…! I really hope Germany can still qualify for the Olympics but that’s a bummer… 😦
