Have they named the team yet?

They’ve selected two of the four based on performances here, with Hashimoto and Kaya earning spots. The other two will be based on Event Championships, but only those who finished in the top 10 at NHK will be considered.

Thanks! It’s going to be a tough team to make for sure.

Does Kenzo have any chance making it? Is he injured or something?
And where is King Kohei?
If these scores aren’t inflated…Russia, China and Japan are so far ahead of the rest of the world, it’d require catastrophic issues for anyone to have a shot at a team medal.

Kenzo definitely doesn’t have a chance…he’s been injured and hasn’t been able to compete at full strength over the past couple of years. He did a pretty good floor routine here, but I don’t think they’re going to see that one floor routine as a reason to bring him.
Kohei competed high bar here and got a 15.3, but the specialist results weren’t on the live scoring system, only the AA results were. I think he’ll get the +1 individual spot.
