HIGH BAR FINAL

12:41 pm. Robert Tvorogal LTU HB: Hop 1.5 pirouette, Tak full was a damn mess I fear, nooooo, Tak half, layout Tkachev to piked Tkachev to Gienger, minor form and low on the Gienger, hop full, triple back dismount, deep with a big bounce forward. I don’t think that’ll get him back on the podium. 13.766 (5.6, 8.166)

12:39 pm. Saveliy Syedin RUS HB: Tak half, big Cassina but lots of form there, same on the Kolman, caught close, Tak full was a bit of a mess but finished close enough to handstand, German giants, double-twisting double layout with a step. 14.066 (5.5, 8.566)

Moves into third!

12:36 pm. Caden Spencer BUL HB: Stalder Tkachev full! Lovely. Layout Tkachev to Gienger. Tak full with leg separation and he goes over the wrong way. Has to correct quite a bit after that before getting to the Tak half, hop full, double-twisting double layout a bit deep with a step. 12.700 (5.2, 7.500)

12:32 pm. Marios Georgiou CYP HB: Tak full, Tak half, both nice! Clean Cassina and beautiful high Kolman. Inbar, hop full, maybe a little late but nice overall, Zou Li Min, double-twisting double layout, minor form and a small step back. This was so lovely! 14.200 (5.5, 8.700)!

12:27 pm. Joe Fraser GBR HB: Got the opening into the Kolman, Cassina was pretty strong, layout Tkachev to straddle Tkachev, blind change to Zou Li Min, Tak full looked mostly nice, double-twisting double layout dismount with a hop back. Great routine! 14.300 (5.9, 8.400)!

That moves him into the lead!

12:23 pm. Noe Seifert SUI HB: Tak full, Tak half to Kolman, minor leg separation, off on the piked Kovacs, nooooo! Back on for the German giants, and I think sticks the triple back tuck dismount. Bummer about the fall.

12:19 pm. Illia Kovtun CRO HB: Tak full and Tak half both done really nicely, connects the half to the layout and straddle Tkachevs! Cassina with some form throughout, stalder, Quast, and a massive triple back tuck dismount, small hop back. 14.000 (5.4, 8.600)

Tried to do an inquiry but was rejected.

12:16 pm. Radomyr Stelmakh GER HB: Nice Cassina! Tak full was a bit late, Tak half was much better, into the Liukin, but he is a bit too low and he’s not positioned correctly for the catch, fall. Back on for the layout Tkachev, Quast, stalder, and double-twisting double layout with a step forward. 12.000 (5.0, 7.000)

12:11 pm. Athletes have been introduced for the high bar final and should begin the touch warmup shortly!

12:06 pm. Waiting for the high bar final to start! The parallel bars medal ceremony ended a few minutes ago.

PARALLEL BARS FINAL

11:48 am. Ferhat Arican TUR PB: Makuts with the extra half, minor leg form but overall strong, Stutz, underswing half turn had some floppy form but holds it well, underswing to the single rail has some arch over, Healy out with slight hand adjustments, Makuts not bad, minor pause halfway through, doulbe front half, stuck! 14.433 (5.9, 8.433, +0.1 B)

11:46 am. Ron Pyatov ISR PB: Wasn’t typing for the opening but he got everything, Makuts, front pike to handstand, he’s moving pretty fluidly I think, and purposefully? Stutz, back quarter turn to handstand with minor form, and sticks the double front. 14.300 (5.5, 8.700, +0.1 B)

Moves into third place.

11:42 am. Nicola Cuyle BEL PB: Front pike to handstand, underswing came up really short and had to muscle it up, also arched over slightly halfway through the Makuts on the single rail, Diamidov and Stutz go really well, and he sticks the full-in dismount! Oh, lifts his toes after so not a stick. Sigh. 13.766 (5.2, 8.566)

11:38 am. Illia Kovtun CRO PB: Uprise half to handstand, Makuts with the extra half turn, underswing to single rail handstand goes well, Healy out of it, slight adjustment with his hands but holds on. Stutz, Diamidov, oop, noooo, arches over on the single rail mid-Makuts, pulls back to handstand though and finishes it well, then sticks the double front dismount. 14.700 (5.8, 8.800, +0.1 B)!!!!

Damn okay sir.

11:36 am. Touch at the halfway point!

11:32 am. Altan Dogan TUR PB: Front pike to handstand, clean. Underswing half with a little rushing through the very end, underswing, straddle front is strong, Bhavsar goes well, press handstand is clean, slight arch turning around out of that but nothing severe, Tippelt had a tiny break halfway through, double front half, maybe a tiny bit low but stuck! 14.100 (5.3, 8.700, +0.1 B)

Moves into second place!

11:29 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR PB: Front pike to handstand is clean, half turn out is controlled, underswing to the single rail, loses his leg form on the Healy turn out of that but not bad, Tippelt goes well, Bhavsar, also strong, arches over the handstand after that SLIGHTLY. Healy turn before the double front dismount, a little messy in the air with a step on the landing. 14.000 (5.4, 8.600)

Moves ahead of Meszaros on the tie-break.

11:26 am. Krisztofer Meszaros HUN PB: Front pike to handstand, maybe rushes the half turn out? Gets the salto and Bhavsar well, Tippelt is super smooth, Makuts with a Healy SO quickly connected out of it, almost looked like one skill, double front dismount is solid with a tiny bounce. 14.000

11:24 am. Joe Fraser GBR PB: Gets the front piek to handstand and and underswing half, 1.5 salto is great! Holds the single rail handstand well, good Healy out, no adjustments there! And a super solid double front half dismount. 14.300 (5.6, 8.700)

11:20 am. Touch is underway now!

11:16 am. Athletes being introduced now for parallel bars!

11:13 am. Medal ceremony is dunzo! Assume we’ll get parallel bars in like 10 minutes?

3. Sol Scott, Great Britain, 14.199
4. Sebastian Sponevik, Norway, 14.100
5. Daniel Trifonov, Bulgaria, 14.050
6. Harry Hepworth, Great Britain, 14.049
7. Arseniy Dukhno, Russia, 13.416
8. Artur Davtyan, Armenia, 13.366

VAULT FINAL

10:58 am. Nazar Chepurnyi UKR VT: Sticks the Dragulescu! Okay, maybe a tiny bounce. Absolutely gorgeous in the air and on the landing though. 14.633 (5.2, 9.433)

Second vault is a Kas double full, also fantastic in the air, small hop back. 14.500 (5.2, 9.300)

14.566 average to take the lead and win his first European title on this apparatus!

10:55 am. Aleksei Usachev RUS VT: Maaaaassive handspring randi! Some wild legs in the air but only slightly? Small hop back on the landing, good chest position. 14.433 (5.2, 9.233)

Excellent landing on the Dragulescu. Tiny bounce. 14.366 (5.2, 9.166)

14.399 average to move into first!

10:52 am. Sebastian Sponevik NOR VT: Dragulescu, some form in the air and the landing is slightly low with a hop but overall it’s a solid hit! 14.100 (5.2, 8.900)

Handspring randi, ends up a bit short with a step back but again overall strong, leg form in the air is pretty good, actually pikes a little bit coming off the table but opens up well after that. 14.100 (5.2, 8.900)

14.100 average! Moves into second.

10:48 am. Artur Davtyan ARM VT: Fabulous stuck Dragulescu! He actually doesn’t really get any distance which looks weird in the overhead view, but like…this is an insane vault lol. 14.833 (5.2, 9.533, +0.1 B)

Welp JESUS H. CHRIST. He kinda balked after the handspring…rudi instead of a randi, his block actually looks okay but after the first half twist he ends up tucking his body and can’t get it around, looked almost twisties-esque? I really don’t see the block having been an issue? 11.900 (3.2, 8.700)

13.366 average.

10:46 am. Touch for the halfway point!

10:41 am. Sol Scott GBR VT: Yurchenko triple full, so clean in the air! Step to the side on the landing. 14.233 (5.2, 9.033)

Kas 1.5, also gorgeous, nearly stuck! The tiniest bounce. So so nice in the air! 14.166 (4.8, 9.366)

14.199 average moves him to first!

10:37 am. Arseniy Dukhno RUS VT: Kas double full, minor leg separation onto the table, minor knee form throughout, step back on the landing. 14.200 (5.2, 9.000)

Yurchenko triple full was intended, bent elbows on the table extremely badly and ends up with no block, tries to get it around by piking/tucking a bit, only does two twists, still ends up SUPER low with a big step forward. Oop. 12.633 (4.4. 8.233)

13.416 average.

10:33 am. Harry Hepworth GBR VT: Huge piked handspring double front half, ends up landing quite low, and it looks like his hands may brush the mat? Oh yeah, he definitely did. Oop. His knees were also a little bent in the air but I don’t think enough to downgrade, at least not until the twist. 13.566 (5.6, 7.966)

Basically sticks the handspring randi after, mostly nice in the air! Just slightly soft form. He’s a bit low with his chest down but great foot placement, maybe slightly moves one foot. 14.533 (5.2, 9.333)

14.049 average.

10:30 am. Daniel Trifonov BUL VT: Kas 1.5, some pre-flight leg separation and soft knee form in the air but gets it around pretty well and has some good height on the landing, hop forward. 13.900 (4.8, 9.100)

Next vault is the Yurchenko 2.5, same knees but he lands like a DART! Excellent direction and control there, ends up having to take a tiny step back after holding the landing for a second but that was great. 14.200 (4.8, 9.400)

14.050 average!

10:27 am. Touch warmups are underway!

10:23 am. Athletes are being introduced for the vault final now!
