It’s Friday afternoon and Carol is packing her car with individual cans of wine because in five hours, No. 5 Florida will face off against SEC rival No. 9 Alabama at home, and this is Carol’s time to shine. As the Gators reminded us on Twitter the other day, the last time the Crimson Tide traveled to Gainesville, the Gators walked way with three tens, so prepare yourself for what is guaranteed to be a wild ride.

Friday Night Heights will also include No. 3 LSU at No. 24 Missouri, with the Tigers hoping to put up a huge score to take second place back after Utah edged them last week, as well as No. 6 Kentucky hosting No. 13 Georgia and No. 10 Arkansas hosting No. 15 Auburn, which should be interesting as the Razorbacks have been strong all season, but Auburn has recently come out in an explosive way after a slow start.

Speaking of No. 2 Utah, they’ll compete at home tonight against Pac 12 rival No. 17 Arizona State, which buckled under pressure on the road last week, but will hopefully be able to get back into the swing of things tonight. Also on the west coast is No. 14 Boise State at No. 47 San Jose State with No. 23 Iowa State, and No. 21 BYU will travel to No. 39 Southern Utah for an MRGC matchup, which I’m excited to see now that SUU is starting to step it up.

No. 18 Minnesota hosting Big Ten rival No. 28 Illinois should also be a good one tonight, and we’ll also see No. 26 Ohio State hosting longtime rival No. 31 Penn State while No. 19 Central Michigan will compete at No. 63 Illinois State.

Saturday is all about the Pac, with No. 4 UCLA traveling to No. 29 California, with Cal hoping to improve on a few rough meets in a row now that they’re home while the Bruins will want to continue raising their scores especially because this could be the week they climb into the top three if they can overtake LSU. On top of that, the meet between No. 11 Oregon State and No. 16 Washington should be a good one, with these pacific northwest programs fewer than two tenths apart in the rankings.

In the Big Ten, No. 7 Michigan will host No. 40 Michigan State, which should be an easy victory for the Wolverines, but they’ll certainly be mourning the loss of Olivia Karas, especially on vault, and No. 8 Nebraska will travel to No. 36 Iowa, and we’ll also see a Big 12 battle as No. 12 Denver hosts No. 27 West Virginia with No. 21 George Washington, which beat WVU a couple of weeks ago, along for the ride.

No. 1 Oklahoma will take it easy on Sunday after last weekend’s blowout meet at UCLA, hosting No. 33 North Carolina and possibly testing out alternate lineup options as with a massive five point lead in the rankings and no scores below a 197.525, they can afford a slow week (but knowing the Sooners, a slow week will still be spectacular).

Also on Sunday is No. 20 Stanford at No. 25 Arizona, and No. 15 Auburn will get another go as they travel to No. 56 Texas Woman’s along with No. 30 North Carolina State and No. 44 Pittsburgh.

Week seven kicks off early on Monday with a close in-state battle between No. 37 Utah State and No. 39 Southern Utah, on Wednesday we’ll see a Valentine’s Day meet between DIII programs No. 71 Ithaca and No. 76 Cortland, and on Thursday No. 45 Eastern Michigan hosts No. 63 Illinois State while No. 74 Winona State hosts No. 78 Eau Claire.
