    • Oh wait, I see other athletes on there twice — & now I remember reading on Reddit that gymnasts were allowed to compete twice in optionals… is that right?!

      • Yes! I posted about that on Twitter asking “wtf” because I was like what is happening lol…but I THINK what happened is that athletes were able to compete optional both on day one AND on day two if they wanted/didn’t qualify at first? There were a few athletes who did day one optional, day one compulsory, and then day two optional which is wild and tbh shouldn’t be allowed based on previous qualifiers but SHRUG idk if USAG changed that rule or what, but yes, it created several opportunities for gymnasts in the results multiple times, lol. Love Amari Celestine getting both the top score and the third-best score on vault.
