SUBDIVISION 2 | ROTATION 4
9:33 am. Tina Zelcic CRO BB: Switch mount and full turn go well. Off on the back pike series. Switch half to split jump to bhs, gorgeous. Wobble on the side somi. Front layout full with some form in the air but a good landing. 11.450
9:30 am. Christina Zwicker CRO BB: Big break at the hips on the loso mount and she falls. Bhs bhs loso, really nice! Aerial to split jump. Double wolf turn. Hit the switch to side aerial and jump series. Hit the gainer pike dismount. 11.850
9:29 am. Danie Ferris MAR UB: Clear hip to Ray, nice! Toe-on to Pak, toe shoot, good double tuck. 11.350
9:27 am. Touch for the second half!
9:25 am. Djenna Laroui ALG BB: Switch mount, switch half, small check. Off on the bhs loso. She’s had a rough day tbh. Switch side, short in the split, check. Side aerial to straddle jump to tuck jump half, good on the connections. Hit the side somi. Hit the full turn. REALLY cowboyed double tuck, low/short, hop back. 11.300
9:21 am. Lena Khenoun ALG BB: Off on her mount. Some form in the bhs loso, a bit deep on the landing, check. Switch, wobble, tries to jump out of it and it’s a little awkward. Side aerial. Front aerial, split jump, wobble. Side somi. Full turn, check. Switch, wobble on the jump out of it, deep landing there as well. Back layout full, hop back. 9.750
9:16 am. Kaylia Nemour ALG BB: Loso mount into loso loso, so nice! Bhs bhs layout, almost connects to the split jump, gorgeous. Side aerial, slight wobble, switch leap, switch half, meant to connect all of those but was too slow I think, front aerial to jump to Korbut. Double wolf turn. Sissone to wolf jump. Step back on the double pike. 14.450
Georgia Charalampous CYP UB: 11.100
9:15 am. Eva Dionysiou CYP UB: Had a Ray to the high bar and a back layout dismount with a hop back. 9.050
9:14 am. Louna Hamames-Moallic ALG BB: We jumped in at the side somi on the stream. Switch to switch half, some foot form and slightly shy of 180, little check. Layout full dismount with a hop back. 11.250
9:12 am. Kalypso Papaioannou CYP UB: Not really any elite-level skills in this set, had a hip circle and a layout half dismount. 5.050
9:09 am. Moving into the final rotation now!
SUBDIVISION 2 | ROTATION 3
9:07 am. Christina Zwicker CRO UB: Toe-on to toe full, toe shoot, blind change with a slight adjustment as she goes into the Jaeger, fall. Back on just to dismount, does a solid back tuck from handstand.
9:06 am. Danie Ferris MAR VT: Yurchenko 1.5, super solid landing! Yay, a hit for her after a rough start to this meet. Form is mostly good, legs just come apart on the latter half in the air.
Idk why live scores are showing her vault as a zero! Looks like she maybe went before the scoring system gave her the green light which is wild.
9:03 am. Sihem Hamidi ALG UB: Maloney to bail, leg separation and a bit short, toe shoot, toe half with some form and had to muscle the handstand with the half turn out of it, leg form in the full pirouette, hit the layout dismount. 10.350
9:00 am. Kaylia Nemour ALG UB: Short handstand before the inbar layout Tkachev in mixed grip to Ezhova to Maloney to stalder full to Downie, FALL! Noooooo. I mean she’ll still make the final. Back on for the Pak to Chow half, clean double layout with a hop in place. 13.950 (6.6 D)
8:59 am. Eva Dionysiou CYP VT: Tsuk back pike, deep landing with a hop back/side. 11.800
8:58 am. Djenna Laroui ALG UB: Hit her legs on the low bar on her opening swing and had to cast again, toe full to Tkachev, Pak, Maloney to Gienger with some leg separation, blind change to big straddle Jaeger, short handstand on the half turn before the dismount, full-in with a hop. 12.100
8:57 am. Georgia Charalampous CYP VT: Tsuk back pike, step back. 11.950
8:56 am. Kalypso Papaioannou CYP VT: Tsuk back pike, gets it around well! 11.950
8:55 am. Lena Khenoun ALG UB: We jumped in a bit late on the stream but think she hit her Pak at the start? Had a straddle Jaeger, came up short on several handstands, layout dismount. 11.650
8:50 am. Touch just started for warmups at the halfway point!
SUBDIVISION 2 | ROTATION 2
8:46 am. Danie Ferris MAR FX: Clean Popa at the start. Big double layout, super solid landing! Unfortunately comes up short on the tucked full-in, hands down. Tour jeté half was a bit short, to switch side. She’s giving absolutely nothing in her expression during the choreo, it’s surprising to watch knowing she’s a UF girly? Usually the NCAA gals who transition to elite for other countries are the ones having fun and/or serving face and artistry. Maybe needs the NCAA crowd or her teammates or something, it’s hard going from that environment to a solo performance in front of like 20 random Italians. Hit the 1.5 to front layout. 10.450
8:45 am. Christina Zwicker CRO VT: Yurchenko back tuck, good in the air, hop back. 11.550
8:43 am. Seema Tello SYR FX: Good on the back layout full, step back. Front layout. Switch to split leap, a little short/low there. Switch half looked better! Wolf turn. Clean back layout. Nice and solid set! 8.650
8:39 am. Sihem Hamidi ALG VT: Handspring front pike half, kind of weak in the air and SUPER deep on the landing, her knees come very close to touching the mat but she’s able to somehow stand up out of it. 12.400
They’ll be able to toss Djenna Laroui’s score at least! Up by half a point.
8:35 am. Louna Hamames-Moallic ALG FX: Yurchenko full, a bit piked down, short on the landing, big hop back. 12.950
Eva Dionysiou CYP FX: 9.650
8:31 am. Georgia Charalampous CYP FX: Rudi to start, a little unsteady on the landing but nothing severe. Hits the Popa, then double full for the second pass, minor form and a bounce on the landing. Stumbled at the end of her leap series. Back layout full at the end is a bit piked but she gets it around. 9.900
Djenna Laroui ALG VT: Looks like a fall based on the score. 11.900
8:30 am. Kaylia Nemour ALG VT: Yurchenko double full, gets it around really well! Minor form in the air and a lunge back to control it. 14.000
8:28 am. Kalypso Papaioannou CYP FX: Back layout 1.5, form a bit weak in the air and she ends up short, puts her hand down. Hit the leap series well. Punches into a barani for her second pass, slightly short, hops up. Just a back tuck for her third pass. 9.100
8:26 am. Touch warmups now underway!
SUBDIVISION 2 | ROTATION 1
8:23 am. Antea Sikic Kaucic CRO FX: Front layout through to double pike, a bit short with a stumble. Double full, a bit deep. Double wolf turn. Double tuck, also slightly short and forward on the landing, hop. Switch ring to tour jeté half.
8:20 am. Danie Ferris MAR BB: Hit the punch front mount. Switch to switch half, really short on that in her split and falls. Front aerial comes up short and she falls again. Split jump to straddle jump, both also slightly short. Bhs loso with slight knee form and a check. Full turn. Off again on the side aerial, oof. Wobble on the switch side. 1.5 with some weak form and a hop. 7.650
8:18 am. Christina Zwicker CRO FX: Step back on the mostly clean double pike. Popa was clean. Front tuck through to double full, a little deep in that landing but again mostly clean. Switch half. Double wolf turn. Switch leap to switch ring, didn’t look QUITE right but we also had a weird front angle for it so I won’t judge her. Lovely overall! 11.550
8:14 am. Lena Khenoun ALG FX: Double tuck, some leg form in the air, step backwards OOB. Tour jeté half. Front tuck through to back layout full, minor form in the air but landed well. Switch to split ring leap, nice. Memmel not super controlled at the end, but another hit routine for Algeria! 11.400
8:12 am. Kalypso Papaioannou CYP BB: Hit the cross split jump to start, then a side aerial. Steady on the back handspring. Switch leap + sissone, maybe slightly slow to connect but she looks good so far! Grabs the beam and comes off on the side somi. They cut away after this. 8.600
8:10 am. Kaylia Nemour ALG FX: Double layout, some leg separation in the air and slightly short but not bad! Whip whip to triple full, WHAT is this camera angle lmao, but from what I could see it was hit. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Front tuck through to double pike, chest down but feet planted. Switch full was wild/not cute but overall a hit! 13.400 (5.3 D)
Georgia Charalampous CYP BB: 9.750
8:06 am. Djenna Laroui ALG FX: Double L was a little iffy. Full-in was a bit messy in the air and short, hop. Front layout front full not bad! Small bounce forward. Mostly good Popa, maybe a hair short in rotation. Double wolf turn finish was super uncontrolled but she covered it up with some “choreo.” Double tuck, not super powerful but gets it around. Leap series also a little short. LOTS of little things throughout but overall a hit! 11.900
8:03 am. Eva Dionysiou CYP BB: Switch leap to sissone with a little stumble in between. Off on the standing back pike. Side aerial hit, full turn a little overrotated, front aerial, little bobble. Front pike dismount with a little hop. 8.800
Louna Hamames-Moallic ALG FX: 12.350
8:01 am. Touch warmups are underway!
7:57 am. Jumping in for the second subdivision because I did not want to wake up at 4 am!
Lucija Hribar of Slovenia leads the all-around with a 49.250 ahead of Athanasia Mesiri of Greece with a 48.900, and Portugal leads the team competition.
This subdivision will see Algeria, Cyprus, Morocco, Croatia, and Syria.
Hey! You may have already noticed, but just in case you haven’t, the post’s title has “European Championships” in it!
