Lorrane Oliveira, Flavia Saraiva, Rebeca Andrade, and Jade Barbosa – four members of Team Brazil
Now that nearly every federation has officially named teams for this year’s world championships, we’re happy to present the full rosters below, along with lists of all of the individuals who qualified through the continental championships as all-arounders or through the world cup series as specialists.
We’ve been tracking the qualifying competitions and roster changes all season, so our lists below include all of our notes relating to injuries and other reasons for withdrawing, and we’ll continue to update these as we find out more information over the next week leading up to qualifications.

I am sad about the injuries, but the one that’s hitting worst is Kovacs. Can the poor woman not have some luck anywhere but Euros?

I know, just one week away, it’s so devastating and I can’t believe it! So sad for her after all she did to try and make it back in time.

Does Oksana Chusovitina have any other chance to qualify to the Olympics? I see she’s not competing here.

She opted to compete at the Asian Games instead, I think realizing how difficult Olympic qualification would have been here…
Her only real shot at qualifying will be via the world cup series next year. She’ll have to rank within the top two on vault to make it, and she was first in this year’s series, so there’s definitely a chance! But I think there will be a couple of other vaulters in the mix next year also hoping to earn spots, so there’s definitely some cause for concern.

I’m hoping for her. She’s such an inspiration especially for us “older” people. 🙂

Agreed! There needs to be an automatic Chuso spot for every worlds and Olympics!

I haven’t been following gymnastics as closely lately. What is going on with Jen Gadirova, Asia D’Amato, and Ellie Downie? Did they get injured? Retire? Thanks!

Jen has had some health issues this year and hasn’t been training at full strength, Asia was injured at a world cup in the spring and has been out recovering ever since, and Ellie has retired! Here’s an article about that:

Thank you! I remembered that the Downie sisters were having issues with their federation (?? club?) and I was hoping she was just taking a break because I enjoyed her gymnastics. Hope both Asia and Jen can make recoveries to return for the next year!

Yeah, it’s unfortunate that her career ended like that, I really thought she could have gone on longer, but I can totally see why she was just mentally and emotionally done, sadly!

She dislocated her kneecap and had to have surgery. She can’t compete at Worlds.
